Edge Of The Blade

As you can tell from the title this is a pirate story. I am hoping to gather a bunch of characters and have this be a long-standing story.

Attack On Haiti

This is really a whatever happens, happens. Sort of thread. The members and characters are truly what will develop this thread. The main plot is the rebel ship (Hades' Gold) have been launching viscous attacks across the Caribbean sea, Africa and in their earlier years Europe. Countless proud and noble men have gone down in shame against Hades’ Gold’s crew. They’re known to be the most merciless and cruel crew of this decade.

Enjoying a stop in Haiti they plan to attack and overrule the small country, little do they know another ship (name can be decide later, depends on who is interested in being the other captain) have been keeping tabs on them and Haiti is where they plan to counter Hades’ Gold’s attack.

Note: This story will not involve rape or incest. Just a warning.

Chante Aideen

Ethnicity: Her mother is from Haiti and her father is a British nobleman. (Their interracial relationship caused the death of both her parents. They were hung for their relationship)

Build: Athletic build but still very feminine
Hair: Black and thick. Worn long in the front over her right eye covering a thin scar.
Eyes: Dark Brown
Other: Her breasts are on the large side but are often tucked away in oversized shirts. Isn’t without her sex appeal she enjoys toying with both sexes and is quite notorious for having both men and women as partners. She’s devoted to her captain. She hides a deep love for her Captain, whom has saved her own life on a number of occasions, but his appetite for women keeps her from admitting so.

Who we need.

Two Male Captains to captain the two rival ships. Slaves, whores and everything in between. The only limit in characters is ones imagination. A few Navy men would be good too

Candy doesn't even remember her own last name. She has been a whore on various ports usually hooking up with a captain heading someplace new when she gets bored. She is an easy going lady, that can take care of herself. She carries a knife in her boot, and Japaneese throwing stars in her long hair. She usually wears a tight blouse, that is open in the front to show off her cleavage, and a skirt with a slit in the side. She always goes barefoot, and has a tan all over.

I would be interested to play the Captain of the "other ship". Nigel Jason Pamperton, a english nobleman that has become desillusionized about the crown but is still too much of a gentleman to be a real pirate. He tried to do the right thing AND earn some money somehow which will kill him if he doesn't learn to be a bit more ruthless. He is 6'2", muscled and since he has spend the last years in the carribean his skin shows the deep brown color of sun exposure. A neatly trimmed beared frames his mouth and above a slightly hawkish nose two steel blue eyes seemed to pierce into the heart of everyone his gaze targets.

His authority, his voice and his gaze have kept his crew under his command for now, but since he had to surplant some of the former british seamen with pirates (he tried to select only those whom he deemed trustworthy) there could be mutiny rising if he doesn't provide ample prey.

He has heard that the Hades' Gold will come to Haiti and since the Hade's Gold is one of the more successfull pirate ships it should have enought booty to satisfy his crew and the pirates are vicous enought to satisfy his morals.

Scarlet Rose

Standing a whopping 5'3" tall our Scarlet Rose is normally unremarkable. Dark brown eyes, a curvy but average build, long thick brown hair. She is always decked in a scarlet red skirt, tattered at the bott0m from years of sailing, the once floor length skirt now reaches just below her knees and is made from a heavy velour material. The one memorable thing about dear Scarlet's appearance is her bodice, dark brown leather with a black rose burned onto the left breast. Along with a cutlass, she also carries a small bodice dagger hidden well between her plump bosom.. She serves as a loyal and ruthless pirate on "the other ship", but is persuaded at times to serve as wench to some of the officers.

Background: Scarlet Rose's birth name is Viola Richmond. She was born a governor's daughter, and betrothed to a rich lord who owns a tobacco farm in Virginia. On her way to her lord, her ship was ransacked and she kidnaped. She overcame her captors and showing great skill in sword fighting and knowledge of the ships workings, having been on many sea journeys in her life. She now pledges allegiance to her captain, and is known throughout the sea as a force to be reckoned with.

Name:Captain Davik Reinhardt

Description: Davik’s appearance is that of a beast. He is broad-chested and tall (for the period), standing at 6ft tall. His dark eyes burn like hot coals, set in a scarred face that seems to have been chiselled from stone. He keeps his dark brown hair long and wild, tied loosely back to keep it out of his eyes. He is never seen without his short rough-looking beard and his grin reveals several gold teeth. His clothing is extravagant, all frills and expensive silk, his wide-brimmed hat is trimmed in gold and around his neck he carries several of the most shamelessly opulent gold chains and medallions ever seen, all of the finest Spanish gold. At his side he carries his ruby-hilted cutlass fashioned of the strongest Damascus steel.

Background: There may have been a time when Davik would have been considered a noble man. As a young pup he joined the royal navy. The reasons for his downfall are trivial and unimportant. Suffice to say the disgrace of his family turned him to the live of a privateer, and eventually his moral code and scruples led him down the road to becoming a downright filthy scoundrel of the seas. Where once he wanted wealth only to support his family he now desires it purely for the sake of greed. His thirst for gold his equalled only by his thirst for women and drink. He has no scruples left, he rapes and pillages with wild abandon, plundering the wealth of the seas and the mainland alike. He is not above sating his base lusts with young men either. He has become a twisted monster, sustained only by his unquenchable thirst for wealth and sex. That said he is not a wild animal, he has a sharp and calculating mind and though he drowns himself in ale and women night in, night out when he stands upon the deck of his ship, Hades’ Gold he is a fearless leader and cunning tactician.

Johnathan Reiger.

Appearance: Johnathan is the only white man in Haiti. He wears long sleeved poets shirts, Usually christmas green tights, and a red silk stash. He is heavily bronzed and his steel tipped pirate style boots almost always clack, even on dirt paths. He carries a simitar and a grin. His black hair is kept clean and long and his crystal blue eyes seem to sparkle with life. He has a few laugh lines along his face and he's tall himself at 5'11"

Background: Johnathan Reigar is a scoundrel and a rascal, but only in the best ways. He was a traveling musician and a swordfighter for hire. He is currently retired at the ripe old age of 25 in a wonderful straw hut he built for himself, though he is loaded from his many winning bets and the treasure he gained. Many people on the island thought he was a pirate, but the closest he ever came to one was when he paid for a trip to Haiti on one.

Got my post up, basically the pirates have docked and are going to spend their hard-earned plunder in the town on ale and women/men. Might be a good opportnity for any other whores to be in town and pick up a couple of our pirates

Okay. I am a bit confused as to what is happening in the thread. I thought Hades’ Gold’s crew was going to stop for a drink. Then all hell broke loose (which is fine) and now with the new captain? I’m a bit unsure…did he come aboard our boat? *confused*

I think he just pulled up and shouted for surrender on his own ship.

I'm a bit confused in what's happening. I wanted all the characters to be introduced before we got into a big brawl. So that everyone has a chance to begin development of their characters.

I agree with Masume. I'd prefer a bit of character interaction before brawling. I'm not really here to play out a fight between pirates and the other people.

What did you have in mind for your Character Bigdavebeast? Perhaps he could be captured by the pirates? He could escape at a later date or could eventually be persuaded to join us. I don't really know. I was thinking maybe Davik finds a treasure map (I know, totally cliché) and lead his men into Haiti on foot to find the treasure.

They could be captured by a tribe of natives, or just proceed straight onto the treasure. What works for you guys?

We can go with the capture. I do not mind that at all. But I still say we hold off the fight for a while. Have Bigdavebeast's character follow us for a while. He could pull off a sneak attack and then be taken aboard Hades' Gold. It is up to you guys.

Yeah, I can have him run off for a while to cause trouble later, or he can swim onto the Hade's Gold later and wind up being found in Chante's room looking for information on where to attack next. Then he can be captured.
