OOC: Dunland Chronicles (Vamps!)

OOC: Just toying with an idea for a new thread brought up by LittleRedDevil. The thread will centre around Ethaniel Markus Dunland (myself), a 400 year old vampire, and his relationship with Jenesis McCoy (LRD) - the thread will begin with the story of Ethaniel "turning" Jenesis in the 18th century - where we take the thread after that is still debatable, but I was thinking maybe tell a few separate short tales, spanning from the 18th Century to modern day? Then that way, the thread will be open to new characters at various stages - ranging from victims, other vampires, vampire hunters, etc. etc...

I'm also kinda hoping to take the thread reasonably slowly, because I will only be able to post perhaps once or twice a day at best. So anyone that would like to join, please be patient, and be prepared to write slightly longer posts to allow the story to flow (Besides, just personal preference more than anything else, but I find the stories read better if they're not in semi-chat format). Other than that, I have no other qualms about how the story is run and who is to join.

So yeah, if anyone wants to join, or has any great ideas, please post here on this OOC (especially you LRD. ), and if interest is sufficient (ie. basically if LRD says yes.), I'll get the ball rolling!

I'd be happy to play a vampire hunter. Since you are talking about bringing this forward into modern day you are going to go with a background kind of like Blade? Were your existance and mine are not really known to civilazation in general?

Just a big of background on Ethaniel. Haven't really thought about his origins - of pure blood perhaps? I guess I could work that into the story later on if needs be.

"Ethaniel is 206 years old vampire, but eternally 28 years old physically. 6"1 tall and atheletically built, sleek jet black hair, a pale complextion (from an obvious lack of sunlight. ) and piercing jade-green eyes (Really, just think Angel from Buffy.) In his vampiric form, fangs emerge, his eyes become a crimson red.

Physically well trained after 2 centuries of hunting and feeding, Ethaniel Markus Dunland is also blessed with superhuman strength and the skill of hypnosis as a vampire. Draining the blood of a human will normally kill the human, but if he so desires, he may instill some of his own blood into the victim, thereby "turning" them into another vampire. "

Indyweasel - the existence of vampires is pretty much nothing more than myths to most people. When were you thinking of coming in as the vampire hunter (human?)? Right at the start or in modern day?

ACTUALLY, on retrospect, it might be best if I limit the characters in the first phase (first encounter between Jenesis and Ethaniel in 1789) of this story cos I guess it's kinda crucial to the development of thread. SOOooOOOo... calling for interested parties for:

Other possible roles (maximum of 4)
? Ethaniel's sister
? Jenesis' best friend
? Jenesis' father
? Jenesis' fiancee
? A young slave/ young maiden

Please post here if you're interested in taking on any of those roles (and I'm gonna have to let my prejudice get the better of me once again, but Isolde, if you would like one of those roles, it's yours, cos I like reading what you write. ). By the way, Indy, I thought it might be better if we left the hunter out of it for now... but feel free to pick something from the list up there if you would still like to play.

This caught my interest, as I've always been a fan of the vampires, but most threads involving such get too involved with the vampire/hunter idea. I really like the way this one is going. So I was wondering if I could perhaps take the role of Ethaniel's sister? As I assume she would be a vampire as well? Let me know what you think.

I have learnt my lesson - I doubt that I would ever once again dare not inform my beloved step sister about an opportunity to dine. Not after the minor foray last eve at any rate.
