OOC: Deviants

Ok, right now it's a casting call and info center for a thred I'm working on.

I have a story arch for this, and while there more than likely be sexual content (face it, it's just not hte same without )

Basic story is that there will be a world were mutants are more than hated and feared, they are publicly exicuted and burned.

We're not talking mutants like X-Men or other comic book heros, but more like deviants in the 'normal' types. People like Down syndromes, ADD, and just someone who's arms are too long or was born with an extra toe. So 'high super powers' are outlawed. While there may likely be some extra perseptional abilities they will have to be OKAYed first. Ok?

So we have a veriaty of areas and types and whatever you want to do, from Normals who either help or hunt and kill deviants to renigade deviants that want to hurt norms.

So I want to see how many I have in the thred before I start it. Who would be interested? Suggestions? Questions?

I'm in, of course - you already know that sweetie. Now for 2 questions:

Are mutations limited to the purely minor? I remember my favorite comicbook story: Strontium Dog. Basically all main characters were mutants, and while some of the mutations (rare in the story) were effectively superpowers you wouldn't want, the fun part was just how mutated most of the muties were. Among my favorites (at least those that stick in my mind) were Egghead (name says it all really), and Nearly Normal Norman (face completely upside down). Many many others that go beyond just 'extra toe' and yet are not in any way superpowers.

Whats the story background/arc: The characters are trying to escape? The characters are running a rebellion? Something else? Obviously, the more extreme the mutations the less the story can be anything to do with trying to blend into society.

Well actually it would be very interesting if some want to go with more extream physical changes. Like eggheads and such so that they can't blend, some might want to blend a little better. I'm rather hoping for some veriaty.

And a background scenario? Reason we're all gonna interact? Just gives some idea on what sort of character is best to design.

That's actually something I'm still trying to think of.. I have later in the story ideas but the background is.. sketchy.. Alll I have is what I said, the world is extream. They hate and fear any deviant of the norm and kill them. Painfully. Think Nazi consentration camps.

Her hendrence is she has ADD. She can't concentrate easily and she talks WAY!!! too much and fast. She barely ends a sentence before starting another one. Very niave. Very easily distracted by shiny things. No sense of fear or self preservation, (i.e. completely over ridden by curiousity.) "Collects" things, without realizing it. (Another words a kleptomaniac.)

Anything else you need to know?

Name(s): Yolande "Reaper" and Beatrice "Dark Angel" Winston
AKA: Spawn (referring to the two together as being Hellspawn (to normos) or hell/heavenspawn to others)
Joint Description: The Winston twins were born to Black parents, but were born as siamese twins, joined from the waist to the shoulder. This means that they have 2 legs, 2 hearts (as the rib cage is barely joined at all) 2 arms, 2 heads. 5'9" tall, of leanly powerful build, from surviving on the streets and in the wild better than most mange.
Reaper Description: Highly mutated: she was born with her epithelial layers lacking any pigmentation, making them translucent. You can see through her skin, through blood vessels (not through blood necessarily) and through various other organs. You see lots of her organs, parts of her skeleton etc.
Dark Angel Description: The luckier of the two, if thats the right word. Her only mutation is she has downy feathers rather than hair. Beautiful dark complexion - though few people look at that considering her sister is right next to her.
Reaper Persona: Reaper is the savage protector of the pair, more than ready to kill and seldom stopped from doing so by Dark Angel, as she knows she has to rely on Reaper to keep them both safe. Near psychotic at times, she doesn't trust and seldom talks to anyone other than Dark Angel
Dark Angel Persona: She is the gentle one of the pair. She knows that a lot of the time she has to go with the flow from her sister. However, she tries to look after the innocent, has argued with her sister about inappropriate violence, and, when given the chance, is a lot better at talking to people.

Sleeping: 2 hearts, 2 heads. They don't need to sleep at the same time. I leave it to you to determine whether that means that one can lie there awake on guard while the other is sleeping, waking her sister up if needed, or whether they can move about under the power of the one awake sister. Of course, they CAN sleep at the same tiem if thats what they want to do.

Stole my idea..... i was thinking of playing someone like chrysalis from the Wild cards series...guess i'll think of something else...damn you

chrysalis? wild cards? Should I look that up so I know what you're talking about? I based half of her on a common super idea, half on something (credit where credit is due) from 2000AD, and the rest on the idea of deformity (siamese twins) being so opposed. If you need me to change it, and can let me know which parts need changing so as not to overlay yours, I'm willing. Came up with about a dozen ideas before settling on Spawn.
