Overview: Dark Rapture is a large-scale RPG which encompasses both aspects of erotica and adventure. As a holder of a bachelor's degree in English, Jonathan Harker will be presiding over non-player elements, introducing extra characters (Non-PC's) and plot twists to further the overall plot - a plot which remains largely in the hands of players, but is influenced by GM (Game Master) involvement. Players may choose to take an active part in the plot toward the resolution of conflict (see description below) or they may play aside of it with other players for their own interests.
Level: It is asked that those involved are experienced role-players and have a solid grasp of the language. This is by no means a vocabulary quiz, but Dark Rapture seeks to maintain a high level of quality.
Description: Taking place centrally in London, but involving travel and outside locales both in the interest of the plot or at the will of each player, Dark Rapture (henceforth known as DR) is set in a gothic world (like that of Bram Stoker and Anne Rice) with humans vampires. The plot revolves around the sudden patterns of murder victims in London. Characters may play as either humans (and thus they may come from anywhere in the world, but are encouraged to start out in London) or vampires. Vampire characters (one of which I will play - Dracula himself) will be asked to play under the conventions of vampires - sleeping in isolation during the day, being wary of garlic, crucifixes, and being immortal - but threatened by staking or beheading.
There will be two IC threads for action - public and vampire - That which is vampire is isolated due to the preference for secrecy among vampires, and because there will be a vampire lair (for inter-vampire eroticism and politics). Public will be for all players, but vampires are expected not to reveal too much of their secrecy (such as in the third person omniscience of displaying to others what they are thinking).
Characters: Keep in mind that the time period is 19th century -Victorian in the London setting. All players will create their character profiles in this thread.
We ask that players consider one of the following roles, though any plausible role of the period and environment is allowed:
Once a smattering of players have joined, both IC threads will be created and DR begins.

We ask that players consider one of the following roles, though any plausible role of the period and environment is allowed:
- English Men and Women - of any profession / class / property
- Lone Vampires - those outside of the lair (wth their own tombs/casket locations)
- Lair Vampires - those that reside in the vampire lair (described in the IC vampire thread)
Once a smattering of players have joined, both IC threads will be created and DR begins.
