OOC Ran out of space there but here it the idea. I love Vice City (Grand Theft auto 2?) and all the missions you can play in Grand Theft auto. I have a map of the city like everyone else and I think it is ripe for roleplay.

I am also love The Sheild on FX. The first episode was pretty good btw...

Since it is all to simple for you all to be criminals in a place like Vice City you get to be cops. A special Squad of dectives and Swap personel has been organized to deal with the gangs and drugs. What you capture you can keep to continue the war on crime. Think vigilante missions....
Are you corrupt? That is up to you all. All I can promise is plenty of action. Can you stand up to all the gangs in the city? Now the events in the game won't happen as you have seen in the game but it will be the city you have grown to know and love. Most the properties for sale as in the game and many things you couldn't do in the game. For example working security at the strip club or working as private security on starfish island. Buy a boat if you have the money. Date strippers and bikini girls. Take on Haitians, Cubans, Columbians, Mexicans, Bikers, and all the other tough residents of the city.

Only vehicles and weapons that are in the game are available for your use but I don't feel you will be limited in any way. You will be assign police vehicles but you will need other for undercover.

If I like your character you will be incharge of the crew...you also take responsiblity for what happens.

Your normal characters on this one living in the 80's so no super powered warriors or super heroes or aliens.

Well respond and let me know what you think....I may run this one.

Kendall Strong.

34. Short Black hair, and dirty brown eyes. Medium build.

He works as a cop in Vice City, a place not exactly known for home cooking and apple pie. Kendall has kept his mouth shut, and his eyes open though. He knows what to do, and more often than not, knows the person who can help him out.
His pleasure is more often than not, cars and women. Money comes and goes, but cars are forever. If he isn't on the beat, he's either at an autoshow, doing someone else's dirty work, or tuning up one of his new hot rods.
He's ready to stir up some trouble in Vice City.

A good first canidate for the game....

Do you know the game? If so pick a favorite.....Car, place to hang out, hand weapon, and fire arm. What do you like to wear?

Yeah, I love the game. I have 1, 2, and 3. I don't have Vice City yet, but as soon as I get some more financial aid, she's going to be mine.

I always did love the fast ones, hmmm, a favorite car? Probably a Mafia Sentinel, cause it's fast, and pretty durable too. I think, with whatever mission Kendall has to go on, he'll need something that is fast and can take a pounding or two. It's hard to find a car with a lot of both, except for a police car.
Then again, there are a lot of other problems that come up if you want to grab one of those.
I love the sniper rifle, but that isn't very practical, or much useful in close combat. I'd probably just use a standard handgun. Colt or something. Nothing too special. Hee hee. No reason to go overboard my first day.
A sniper rifle in the trunk though... just in case.
And a baseball bat, hmmm, those are fun.

I would guess he hangs out in strip clubs, places like that. Some cheesy hotel that caters to prostitutes. In his pursuit of sex, he seems to have found a few sleezy places that sells it for cheap.

Kendall is an easy dressed man, nothing too complicated. Some slacks, a t-shirt, or dress shirt, almost never buttoned up all the way. Hmmm, long hair, passed his ears, ruffled up, ummm, the beginnings of a beard. Something unshaven, but not exactly grown in for long.

Name - William "lizard" Kincade
Age - 39
height - 5'11"
235 lbs
Hair and eyes - currently shaved bald, but black/eyes brown

William Kincade is from a small hick town in Western Mass, joined the Marines and became a sargent during his 2 terms before he left the service to try his hand at civilian life.

It didn't work as well as he figured, and for a year he worked odd jobs, then decided it sucked, and said what the hell, and took the police test.

He passed, became an officer on the MA State Police and was on the Undercover Narcotics Team till he decided he had enough of the shitheads, assholes puking on him and the other fucking thieves...and those were just his fellow officers.

Not that he never took money, but he wasn't a pig, and nobody noticed...

He quit after 6 years, and determined not to go back to odd jobs, he started a private bail enforcement company, although he employs noone, except for the ocasional snitch for a 1/8 oz of coke...

Currently 39, he enjoys his freedom, his success, and sometimes smacking a crackhead's teeth out of his head with a sap.

He is considered by people who work with him to be well trained, skilled at tracking people online and in person, not uptight, but not an easy going person by any means.

He is a buisness man, and if in the course of the buisness he needs to crack your skull to find someone, well, so be it.

He works out of a 5 year old SUV, a dirty brown one with fender dings but in excelent condition otherwise, and he keeps a lockbox full of electronic snooping devices that are available commircialy, but not exactly legal to use.

For weapons, Glock 19 or Kimber 1911, Remington 870 behind his car's seat and a scoped AR-15 with a colapsing stock in the trunk in a pelican case. (He was a Marine, he likes to have a rifle on hand, just in case)

He is called Lizard because he has a lizard tattoo on his asscrack, so when his pants show the "moon" you see a pair of eyes on a little green lizard looking out at the world. It was a drunken thing in a Germany...

He is in Vice City to make money, legaly or not.

Lizard wants to retire, move to Aspen, ski, fuck college chicks on spring break and drink rare and expensive brandy, cognac and scotch.

So far, he only does this on holiday but wants to make this permanant.

Got space for the Lizard?

Remember Vice City PD needs you!

Okay good news sentinel made it to the lastest version...and even has an XS model. There is a bullet proof custom model.
The .45 pistol is among the most common gun in the city used by police and gang member alike. There is a sniper rifle a cheap generic one that is pretty common.

In the third game there are a number of cheap beach front hotels near the marina and mall area. Plenty of hookers walking around there. You will fit in fine.

Evil Attorney

Very impressive but in need of retooling. First stick with what is in the game. Generic weapons so nobody is guessing what yrou carrying like in the game. I know what your carrying, but no all players do...The other major problem is that all characters are active members of the city's police force. You can work security on the side but you have a day job. Make a few changes and your there okay? Your SUV can be a Rancher a very powerful four door truck you can find in the game. Surf the net abit you will find plenty of information on the gear in the game....you won't be disapointed.

All possible players....

Your unit is a special squad both swat and under cover. You will have basic police gear (nightstick, .45, uniform, vest =100 points of armor) swat gear (MP5 or shotgun, full body armor and helmet=150 points of armor and rappel gear.) There are a few cars and trucks already impounded for you to start undercover and you have a small allowance of cash for props (clothes, lunchs, gifts )

More information to come.......

A glock is a high quality black plastic 9mm pistol. they came out in the 80's.

Kimber a high quality .45 pistol, but as its the 1980's, make it a caspin 1911. Its nothing exotic, just think of it as a .45 thats rather expensive and reliable.

The 870 is a shotgun thats been the standard police-military-hunting-home defense-everything else under the sun shotgun since before I was born. If you have even seen a shotgun in a cop's car, likely 60% of those are a remington 870. (other 40% would likely be a mosburg 590, which is esentialy the same dam thing, just a competitor)

The AR-15 is the civilian designation of the M-16. Just think semi-auto rather than full, and mine being a bit shorter for urban situations.

If its a city with people that are shady, then why not have someone shady prowling and growling around town?

I don't understand the problem of a bounty hunter being in town to make his fortune.

He would have to deal with the cops to turn over the prey, and if the cops are like the shield, they would likely make things intresting.

Maybe they would like to use him for things they can't quite touch, maybe he is homing in on one of their dealers and trying to collect a bounty on him which would fuck with their retirement fund?

Maybe lizard will just go about his buisness, but if he finds a score of cash, he will grab it, get in his truck and quitely leave before people come looking for him...

If you want me to change him, please PM me with more specific info.

I think this is a good list.....all the ones I remember. I doubt you need any more then these....in Vice City all you need to buy a gun is show up with proper ID at a gun shop.

Brass Knuckles
Baseball Bat
Golf Club
Screwdriver
Hammer
Knife
Machete
Meat Cleaver
Katana
Chainsaw
Colt Python
Colt 45.
Remote Grenade
Grenade
Gas Grenade
Molotov Cocktail
SPAS-12
Chrome Shotgun
Sawed-off Shotgun
Tec-9
UZI 9MM
MAC 10
H&K MP5
M-4 Carbine
Ruger
Sniper Rifle
PSG-1 Sniper Rifle
M-1911
M60
Rocket Launcher
Flame Thrower

I know all the weapons and when they came into being so that is not the arguement here...I simply want to put everyone on the same playing field. Not everyone has the same level of knowledge.

I would like cops and I posted a request for cop characters. I want you to have limitations and not to independant. I like your style Evil Attorney, but for this one you will be part of the crew. As to the Shield they did have a bounty hunter on the show once. He took a criminal wanted in Mexico and gave the boys a cut of the reward that country had given out. More of an NPC type.

Also I have not shut the door on other opportunties to fill the retirement fund.

OK, I'll retool the character later today.

thanks.

BTW, in the list of weapons, you mentioned colt .45 and M-1911.

Thats the same thing under 2 different designations. Do they have different stats in the game?

Thanks for the ok. Glad to be a part of the team.

EA, believe me, this is Grand Theft Auto. The cops are worse than the criminals... even more so cause they have the "law" on their side. You have no restrictions playin a cop as a bounty hunter, trust me on this one.

No the stats aren't different any different it was my istake no to edit the list I took from the site when I found it. Well spotted.

I look forward to reading you revamped character.

Poohlive....Your character ready to go any other questions you have to ask? May want to add a few little things based on what I mentioned earlier.

guys encourage more to join I was hoping to have at least four to ride along.

not a problem, all taken into account. I'll know what to do once we get started. hee hee, thanks for all the help.

I have a question of how we're going to run this? This going to be like GTA, where we have missions we need to accomplish? Are you going to GM everything, depending on the choices we make and what we do?

For weapons, M-1911, SPAS-12 behind his car's seat, a MP-5k (very short version of the MP-5 for use wearing a 3/4 length coat) and a scoped M-4 with a colapsing stock in the trunk in a pelican case. (He was a Marine, he likes to have a rifle on hand, just in case)

Their is always a backup gun floating somewere around too, but were that is kept, well, the only people who find that out are the ones who see it as the last thing on earth.

Of course, being a person who has to ask a lot of questions at work, his pair of brass knuckles get a lot of use. Hey, he is a people person...

He is called Lizard because he has a lizard tattoo on his asscrack, so when his pants show the "moon" you see a pair of eyes on a little green lizard looking out at the world. It was a drunken thing in a Germany...

Lizard, after having success as a bounty hunter, has decided to try his hand at police work once more. He moved to Vice City and applied, and was accepted. After working patrol for 2 years, he is currently on the Narcotics Squad again.

Lizard wants to retire, move to Aspen, ski, fuck college chicks on spring break and drink rare and expensive brandy, cognac and scotch.

So far, he only does this on holiday but wants to make this permanant.

Lizard has almost enough money away to retire, but wants to make sure he never has to work again. He is close to that from his last job, but lives within his means, so nobody is aware of his "extra saving accounts" off shore.

Okay gentle....would love a few more cops on the beat but I like the ones I have thus far.

Good work on the retooling of "lizard" he should fit in fine.

THe GTA question....There will be options that will seem like missions but how you accomplish them is left much more open then in the game.

Keep the questions coming and try to find some more recruits....I will be screening tougher then the last time.

I hope you tightly GM the action here so that when someone makes a move, an neutral party decides on the success or failure of things between player characters or important NPC's that the GM runs.
