OOC: Casting call

This is basically another midieval thread. Yeah, I'm aware that this has been done to death, but it's a popular genre.

A couple guidelines: No power trips. Playing gods is boring.

Also, no killing other players' characters. Things like that WILL get you banned from the thread, and any future posts to it will be ignored.

Third, stay in character. Character's should have definate personalities, and any action too out of the ordinary for a character's developed personality and outlook will have consequences, most likely negative.

If I must, I'm willing to take on the role of administrator. I'd also like to keep the number of participants to a maximum of four, including myself.

Pretty much anything goes, really, as long as the character isn't evil and doen't have godly powers. Warriors, sorcerers, thieves, priests, bards, monks, druids, barbarians, elementalists, paladins, bounty hunters, rangers, -even psionicists- are all fair game.

I might draw up a map if it looks like things are going to take off. There won't initially be an official plot, but once things get started, I'll see what I can do about that.

Once we have the players, I'll get the main thread up.

Cristian loved the outdoors so much that he would spend hours roaming around. Then one day a man came to his home and told him that he had watched him and that he had the natural gifts of a ranger. At first his father protested but he told the man that Cristian could got with him. The man trained Cristian in ways that he never knew existed and Cristian was grateful for it all. He has a gentle soul and fights only if he has to which people have taken for weakness but when he does fight he is a fierce fighter and can defeat almost any foe that he faces.

INFO: Nalia is a member of the winged elf race known as the avariel. She is quiet and speaks little of her own race. She has lived outside of her homeland most of her life. Her history is shrouded, yet she is kind and helps those she is able to. However she always keeps herself emotionally blocked off from others. Her delicate features and slim body seemed to attract trouble. People thinking to take advantage of her so she now wears a forest green cloak to hide her body and features. She doesn't show herself to anyone unless she trusts them.

It's also been a long time for me for a medieval thread. I'm game as well.

Race : Elf/Human
Height : 2.2 m
Weight : 95 kg.
Age : 30+

Hair : Brown, Shoulder length
Eyes : Brown
Appearance : Slightly upturned ears, but could easily pass for a human. Inherited the human appearance of his mother. Sharp eyes and lithesome build, strength and move quality inherent in Wood Elves.
Weapons : Yew Longbow, proficient in small knives(hidden in various places), bastard sword,

Clothing : Non-descript utilitarian brown tunic and trousers, comfortable leather half boots, gray woolen cloak (mountain sheep wool - would not take dyes, but waterproof), a leather pouch containing remedies for common ailments, and poisons.

Cerriel is a thief, the only honorable profession after the rejection of both his elven and human brethrens. His mother taught him the healing arts, but his job taught him the killing arts. He's not an essentially bad guy, although first impressions are of such. He has a tendency to be gruff, as expected of an unread and uncouth person. He's just confused, and looking for a place where he can find peace, and most importantly, acceptance.

Race: Unknown, presumably human.

Hair: Dark brown
Eyes: Grey
Professions: Soldier, warrior, mercenary, and student of martial arts. Currently unemployed.

Kokida is lean and somewhat muscular. His skin is naturally a tan color, and has an odd bluish tint in certain light. His hair is chin length and straight. His features are slightly exotic and sinister, though he isn't evil.

He aspires to perfect his own type of fighting style, and constantly seeks to test his skill and strength against other warriors. He usually speaks in short, direct sentences with a slight, unplaceable accent.

He usually carries a spear and a long dagger, and wears a light, flexible armor made of small metal plates strapped together. He is strong and quick, and extremely healthy.

Hey, I haven't been on the forum for months and this was the first thread I noticed. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind me jumping in, since the thread hasn't really gotten going yet. I kinda feel like a n00b (even though I'm not) looking around at all these 1000+ post guys. But I love rping and I can stay in character perfectly; that and I hate people who make their characters gods.

Anyhoo, I have a char mapped out... read through and see what you think. He's not evil, but he's not exactly a champion of justice either, if you get my drift.

He now travels the world seeking his destiny. He possesses the power over life and death, as well as the ability to summon deamons and other monsters of the underworld. He can also shield himself and others and perform small healing spells.
