Greetings and Salutations,

So as you can tell by the title, I'm interested in starting a Vampire: the Masquerade thread, I'm just trying to see if there is any interest out there for one.

Anyone?

i'm happy to join, though the most i know is what was o the trailer, never got round to playing the game though i wanted to.
 
I could totally be up for this - this is the only role-playing game I ever got involved in and bothered to learn the rules, etc.

Please note that my schedule may not allow me to post more frequently than once day, and sometimes, not even that. If this is going to be a problem, count me out right now.

I never logged in again before bed... oops. We've got three plus me right now, which is definitely a solid beginning. I'd say. So I guess it's time to do a quick run down.

Can you guys tell me what your favorite clans are?
 
Can u please give me a quick rundown of the clans...all i remember is the nosferatu, but i wasn't too keen on them.

Sound very interesting. My favorite clans are Gangrel and Ventrue
 
I like Toreador and Followers of Set.

And I'm totally old school, so if this is going to follow the Vampire: The Requiem rules, I'll need a tutorial.
 
Nope. It will definitely be old school. Toreador and Followers of Set were two of my favorites as well as a matter of fact.

So it seems we're mostly looking at Camarilla clans...
 
What no Brujha

Sounds like a very interesting game you are about to start. The only problem I see is that no one has mentioned the always dramatic Brujha clan. Count me in, but only if I can play a Brujha.
 
That's what I've been thinking about while working up the structure of the city. If we go with posting sheets (which I'm not opposed too) some people may need a lot of help with those (especially people who've never played the game before).

Any opinions?
 
Okay, well here's an idea -

The points system is a pain in the ass, even for people who've used it before - and I can only imagine how overwhelming it would be for someone who's never created a character for this game.

What if we were to post our character bios a nd background stories here in the OOC thread, and make sure everyone is comfortable with the background we have given. If anyone has concerns about something that doesn't fly, this is the place to raise them.

Also, I suggest that while writing the bios, we differentiate between stuff that is common knowledge, and stuff that is still part of the character's background, but that will have to be found out in-game. (Maybe with a different text color, or something.) If there is information that is extremely confidential, maybe run it by Spider in private messages for approval.

Then during play - the decisions the character makes and the actions they take should be able to be traced back to their background story. If the players have an issue, we can bring it up here, and if we can't reach an agreement, Spider will have the final say.

If we want to have a minimal points system for things like Disciplines and generation, we could do that.

*shrugs* I don't know, just throwing an idea out there - what do you guys think?
 
Brujah Biker anyone

I have been playing he game for quite sometime, almost ten years. I Have always played online mostly, I know the point system as I also run one of the games online. I am also extremely interested in the setups of how you are wanting to run the RP. I mean is it going to run in a fashion of just RP... I realy don't think you would need a points system on that basis. I can post the Brujah's Bio whenever you guys are ready.. I would be extremely interested. One thing I will point out though and this is an aside... MY Brujah is definitely a sexual beast and though that is frowned on by most of the Vampire: the masquarade sect of online RP or LARP.... I think it adds to the flavor of the character.... Also If Spider is running the 'game' then Spider should be the Prince:) Just my two cents
 
If your character is overtly sexual (as much as a vampire can be), do we want to take this to the Sexual Roleplaying board?

I've got a pretty solid concept for playing a Setite.

I hope Spider comes back with his two cents..

Now hang on here... there's a VERY important clan that no one has picked up on... or are the Assamites and Tzimice not allowed? lol
