Setting: A fantasy world, named Zakaroth, with a medieval-like setting. Humans are the main race, populating nearly every corner of the globe, but small pockets of an assortment of races (Elves, dwarves, gnomes, halflings, orcs, to name a few) are dotted around the world. Whilst the races know of the others, they generally keep to themselves, as their differences are very pronounced.
Magic and those with the ability to use it are both extremely rare, so PC's are encouraged to steer away from spell-casters.
Plot: All the problems begin when an emissary from the northern kingdom of Aelorn is sent to negotiate the marriage of the King's daughter to the high-ranking lord of Galdaren, one of the King's subjects. The relationship between the two lands had been somewhat tested lately, and when the King's emissary was found with three arrows in his back, the King, believing it to be the work of his southern subjects, declares war on them without question. As his army marches to the south, the lord of Galdaren proclaims himself King of the South, and awaits the arrival of the other king's army. Meanwhile the princess is kidnapped by an unknown group, and this is where my character (See below) shows up and gets caught between the conflict of the two lands.
Meanwhile, as the two Kings fight their war, it becomes clear that someone (Or something) is fueling the fire of the war, for an unknown purpose...
PC's: Ok, like I said before, humans occupy most of the land, and as such, most PC's should be human. But, other races are also excepted. Also, only a small amount of spell-casters will be chosen. Pc's can be anything, including (But not limited to) adventurers, lords, merchants, pirates, mercenaries... basically anything you can think of that fits in with the world.
I would like the two kings and the princess to be PC's, but if no-one wants them, they are fine as NPC's. As you've noticed, I haven't gone into any detail about these characters (I haven't even said their names), so you can supply this if you wish to play as them.
My character:
Name: Darios
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Age: 29
Height: 6'1
Build: Lithe
Hair: Black
Eyes: Green
Personality: At first glance, his shy demeandor and brooding, thoughtful looks suggest that he is kind of shady, but he is in fact friendly and, due to his previous upbringing as a knight, has a strict sense of honour and loyalty.
Bio: Darios followed in his father's footsteps, becoming a knight under the service of the Northern King. He showed potential as a swordsman, and also with the lance, whilst his chivalry and etiquette were spotless. However, he found by the age of 23 that the life of a knight was not what he wanted, and, when his father died in mysterious circumstances, he left the service of the king and followed his dream of becoming a travelling staff-fighter, a sport popular the world over. His former combat training served him well, and he began to win a small fortune by his new profession. One day, whilst travelling alone, he runs into the princess who had just managed to escape her captors, and this is where the story will start.
Ok. Feel free to post your character bios if you want to join, and I look forward to RPing with ya'll. Any queries or suggestions, fire 'em at me.
