OOC: Casting call Tentatively titled Sleeper Sandra.

I came up with an interesting plot, let me hear what you all think.

Sandra (Or whatever she ends up being named) is an orphan child who is taken in by a secret government project and trained to be a killer sleeper agent, along with several other orphans. But when she is 15 and nearly complete with her training she is attacked by some rival agency, shot in the head and left for dead. But is found by someone and is taken in by an orphanage, and heals from the wound, but without any memory. So, from that point on, she tries to live as a normal teenage girl, after having lost her memory, being a clean slate after all. (she could have a set of 'false' memories brought forth by sessions with a psychotherapist to accomplish that.)

Mean while, one of the orphans that had been taken in by this agency would still think about her, and some how 'feel' that she is still alive and want to bring her back.

Back in highschool, she would be really into athletic programs, and every now and then get into little scrapes where she feels herself snap, and inadvertently injure several students through her highschool career. Getting warnings from the faculty, and a sort of respect based on fear from her fellow students. Only in her senior year, she becomes involved with a jock, he doesn't take no for an answer and she snaps again, only this time, she seriously injures him, with a palm heel thrust to the jaw, fracturing his kneck.

I want the thread to start with this situation just past, the day after at school, the faculty members already knowing about it.

What does everyone thinK? Anyone willing to bite?

Okay, but know that the agency that made him still expects him to work, they don't let him wander off all the time to search for her.

If you have ever seen Buffy the vampire slayer, the movie, I kinda figured that when your character confronts her, thats kinda how I imagined it would be...

I havn't seen either of those, but from what I know of them, yes, similar. If you're into anime, the anime called Noir is what gave me the idea for the thread.

You called dibs on Sandra, so she's yours, unless you dicide to back out before the thread starts.

Have to say I loved Dark Angel till it was axed after season 2 (why do you do it Fox why?)!

I'll be happy to play Sandra, let me know when you're up and running and I'll jump in.

I was a huge Dark Angel Fan who watched it religiously on Tues. and then Fri. Why, FOX, Why? The story was really coming along. Also, Raven, have you seen the anime Kite? It is about these teen assassins who are really badass. If you haven't seen it, you should definitely look into it.

Also I just wanted to state that I want Sandra to be like a typical teen girl, who just happens to have these flashes of intence violents, when pushed around. Until its revealed what she is, then its up to you, shadi, what she becomes.

I'm assuming she's just turned 18 and there's bound to be a school prom around the corner

Huh, when you say "sleeper," I think "vampire." Is there any corrolation, or what do you mean by sleeper?

If I have time, I might play a guy who's a bit of a nerd (or at least not really popular, not disliked, just not popular) who has a crush on Sandra.

I could take on some other minor roles too. After all, I play five characters in High School Blues. ^_^

By sleeper, I mean she is a super agent trained to the point where she does not even know that she IS a super agent killer. She thinks she is a normal girl, but when the time comes for her to do her job, she loses her false set of moral codes and simply kills who she needs to, like a robot almost, no emotion.

So she is a sleeper in two sences, the first being that she has no concious knowledge that she is this emotionless killer deep down inside, and in the other sence, when she snaps into this murderous mode, its like she's sleep walking. You know that new movie coming out with Tommy Lee Jones? About the guy with the battle stress disorder? Well, its like that, only for Sandra, it can be turned off and on like a light switch.

Wow. It's sounds a little scary. I dunno if I'm into this kind of thing... but I'll try it out. Does my character idea sound okay?

BTW: Since this isn't SRP, I can play characters younger than 18, right? I'm thinking the answer is yes, but I don't want to do something dumb without asking. ^_^

A good place to look for the feel of what I am going for is the anime called Noir, it was in the U S Newtype #1 as a promotional dvd.

You're character is perfectly fine Jacobo.

As for age, it shouldn't be all that much of a problem to be younger than 18, I don't intend for the thread to be sexual in the least. But there is going to be some violence.

I did allude in the set up for the thread that a jock tried to rape Sandra, only she stopped him before anything happened. Thats about the extent of sex for the thread.

Cecil is intelligent, analytical, and empathetic. Inside, he is confident in his abilities, but he's too polite to assert himself for making friends. In an academic situation, he's a leader, but his strange habit of calling ladies "Miss" and boys "Mister" along with their first name gives him a reputation as a nice guy but not a very influential or assertive one.

Deep down, he thinks he's better than everyone else -- he lives with a single father who suffers from a chronic disease that Cecil's had to deal with all his life, and has gone through hardship as well as matured quickly -- but he's ashamed of that thought, and tries to cover it up with huge gluts of compassion. Additionally, he's a perfectionist and has a deep (both philosophical and instinctual) fear of not being good enough, so he works hard to be likable and yet has no best friends because he believes that no one else can really identify with him, even if he can identify with everyone else.

Sadly, the libido works independently of the brain. For some reason, his huge crush on Sandra just won't go away. He tries not to be an idiot and tries not to bug her while still trying to be extra-nice to her, but he only achieves in sending her mixed messages -- which he's done for the past three years. He KNOWS what he's doing wrong, but he's too afraid of that possibility that his thoughts that he's better than everyone else will come out, so he doesn't try to be confident, despite his failures.

So Sandra probably likes him even more than other people like him -- ask them about Cecil and they'll probably say "Oh yeah, Cecil, of course. He's a nice guy. Smart, too. Don't know much about him, though." -- but she probably wonders whether or not he actually likes her. It's up to whoever plays her, though. ^_^

Alright, I think we have enough players to start the thread up, can still use more though, but they can come in as the story opens for the first few pages.
