OOC: Casting call - PMs invited for interest in "Space Captive Thread"

A Space Pirate thread was started by Badform, who seems to have left Lit for the present.
We had one crew member join us, who also disappeared.
The story did not progress beyond the capture of my character, Tara, so there is no "old story" to follow.

I'm looking for anyont who would like to follow on the idea or suggest possiblities for the storyline?

In brief, the scenario is that there is Federation ship with an all male crew. The story starts when they capture a female space pirate. (Believed to be a pirate as she has just blown a ship to pieces - fair assumption).

They of course now have to imprison her and take her to the nearest authorities ... to stand trial and be sentenced.
There are of course regulations and prisoners have rights.
But it will take some time to get to their destination .... oh and did I mention that this crew have been without female companionship for MONTHS?!?

Will duty and justice prevail .... or .... ?

I will post my first IC here to give an idea of my character.

Please PM me with ideas or offers to play.

Please have an idea of the character you would like to be and how he will react to Tara. (My character)
We'd need a Captain and other crew members... perhaps a minimum of 2 players - others could be NRP.
(I would expect the Captain or some other officer to at least try to stick to the letter of the law, but am open to all suggestions)

I will post a cast list here and add any further relevant information before opening the IC thread.

Tara

It had been a reckless attack, but Tara had nothing else to loose.
After all she had seen, all she had witnessed, she was beyond caring, beyond feeling almost.
Her face lit in satisfaction as she watched the ship explode before her eyes.

”Bastards!”

She uttered triumphantly.
She had vowed they would pay.
It was their folly that they had not spotted her escape; their arrogance that they had not noticed her trail them into this obscure part of the galaxy.

Even as she was celebrating, the sight of the Federation Ship hove into sight.

”Fuck!”

Much as she tried to outmanoeuvre it, she could tell that the ship had locked onto her tiny vessel. She’d be willing to attempt to outrun them to go out in a blaze of glory, but in truth her fragile craft had very little left and was barely holding together.

She looked down at the console and saw the hailing signal from the Federation Ship and defiantly hit the button, which made the screens simultaneously spring to life.
The Federation were scum as far as she was concerned.
They had NEVER done her or her kind ANY favours.
It was only because she could not rely on their justice that she had taken matters into her own hands.

She stared at the image of the Captain as he declared his ultimatum, accusing her of a “Piratical Act”. She smirked. The irony of it! No she admitted. She hadn’t taken that action because the Federation would have refused to act. She had pursued them without reference to the law, purely in order to get revenge and to see them blasted out of the universe. She cared little about what happened to her now.

”I agree to your terms Captain.”

She flicked the switches to close down the weapons, knowing that the Captain would see the ejection of her remaining ammunition and organise for her capture.

”Ready for surrender.”

To all intents and purposes she had given herself over to his custody, yet her eyes were hard and rebellious as she awaited her arrest.

Just for reference, the intention is that this thread is new and will go in its own direction depending on the players.

The only part I've taken is the IC post introducing Tara above that was uniquely my creation.

Up to you what member of the crew you'd like to be ... and how disciplined or not you'd be at seeing this female prisoner.

PM or post queries here ... if you come up with an intial idea, I'm sure we can fine tune it to fit with the existing scenario ...

Not sure what your angle is Ryosho ... looking forward to all being revealed ...

Just one request to all of us - myself included.

Let's try not to write characters into a "dead end" if any of us are going to be afk for any length of time.
As it seems that there are only going to be three of us in this story, I'd like the plot line to be "open" enough so that we don't exclude the third person when responding to the last poster.
I'm sure that you two can give the impression of a busy ship with your commentaries and observations.

Feel free to share plot ideas here.

Agreed... I have periods where I go AWOL for a day or two (maybe three), just to let my creative juices collect until they begin to flow.

Casting Call now CLOSED

A rough direction for our story line has been negotiated with both existing players.

(Thanks to both my co-writers for their continued excellent posts!)

Any further characters would have to fit into the existing scenario and the larger the cast, the more complex the story could become.

Now the story is taking off, I'm no longer looking to expand the cast list.

I'd be grateful if readers would confine their comments and any plot/character suggestions to this OOC thread, to avoid interrupting the flow of the story.

She doesn't have a change of clothes.

It's unlikely she'd sit around in a towel under these circumstances.
I suppose I could write that she'd been given some, but wanted to leave that direction and the choice of outfit to the Captain.

Could the guy not just be watching her in her cell?
