Storyline: Housekeeper/Cook hired at ranch in remote area of Montana. What ranch owner doesn't know is that Charlie McClean is a woman, "Charlie" being short for Charlene.
Rancher hasn't had good luck with women. His wife ran out on him, telling him the ranch was too remote a place to live for a woman who just wanted to have fun. He's been single ever since. Sparks fly when he finds out his new housekeeper/cook is a woman, and not the man he took her for via Job Service, for he swore when his wife left there'd never be another woman on the Moonrise ranch.
Charlie wanted out of the city to get back to her roots. She took the job, even though it meant a tremendous cut in salary. She was looking forward to reconnecting with the mountain state of her childhood. She refuses to leave and makes ranch owner live up to his bargain, if only for the three month trial-period.
