Im posting this up as a feeler to see if there is any interest in this SL on name alone. Monday I will post all of the character information that people will need to have to start to play.

I need at least two more guys and three girls to join the thread to make it work. Anything less than that and It will be too much to try to pull off as the SL is very indepth.

So just on Name Power alone - and maybe my reputation as a pretty good RPer :p - Is anyone interested?

well, as interesting as i find the game, i doubt it would go well...everyone would want to be alex

Just on the name, it seems somewhat intriguing. I'm guessing it's either a moon-based colony, or starship type thingy

Ok, dispite the name of the game, Lunar was not about space travel or anything space for that matter. Lunar is a roleplay game that they released for Sega CD, then it was upgraded and released for the playstation, then finally it was revamped slightly again and re-released for the GBA.

Lunar follows the adventure of a young man named Alex, his flying catlike pet named Nall, and his lifelong sweetheart Luna. Alex idolizes a deceased hero named Dragonmaster Dyne and longs for the life of an adverturer. After battling some monsters in the Wierd Woods on his way to the White Dragon's Shrine, Alex meets the White Dragon Quark and after taking the first dragon trial, Alex soon finds himself on the quest to become the next Dragonmaster. While on this quest, Alex, Luna and Nall meet Dyne's adventuring companions in their new lives, three couples, a mysterious wanderer named Laike, and many many intriguing characters.

What type of story would it be if there were not any villans? Well this story has quite a few of them including the powerful Magic Emperor, A trio of Beautiful Witches, a rumored "Dragonmaster", and a hord of monsterous people known as the Vile Tribe.

The story is full of plot twists and surprises and though it will take some plotting to make the switch from Video Game RPG to ORP, I think it could be done. Now that you know a general synopsis of Lunar, who is interested in helping me bring this story to life on Literotica?

To make this happen I will need at least 2 more guys and 3 girls, that is if everyone will play multiple roles. Most of the roles are partial after we cover the three couples and shouldnt be a problem for good roleplayers to tackle.

revamped twice, actually,....first for the SEGA Saturn, then for the PSX....the PSX game is hardly an upgrade though....visually and vocally, maybe, but the gameplay and menus (not to mention item and spell capacity) are a definite downgrade

Well, I never heard of the game in any of its forms, but the story sounds solid enough. My question is do we have to be chars from the game itself, or is an original character acceptable?

I love that game so much! It's my favorite rpg of all time (or that I've played). And I don't think that everyone would want to be Alex. I know that if I was a guy, I'd love to play Kyle because he's funny as hell. :) I'd play if it wasn't for the fact that I don't think I'm that good at rping. I'll definitely read it though! :rose:

I never finished the sequel but My freiewnd owns both for PS. And I used to have the original Saturn game, but no saturn system.

It has four important distinctions to me.

One, It was the most fun I've ever had on a hex based rpg.
Two, It's the singularly most expensive series I've eve bought, (At a little over 100 dollars each.)
Three. It had the most realistic shop ever. (At the end of the game your buddies shop will just give you stuff for free. The world is ending so He just loads you up with whatever you want for free, because if you fail he'll die.)
Four. Release the weasel is the most fun you'll ever have talking about a character's special move. (Kyle's Sonic Weasel attack.)

Despite this I cannot play.

But damn if it don't sound cool. So Bump for JD.

i have both the originals on my computer....i had the original game on SEGACD, but i threw it out thinking it was damaged

also, the title is Lunar: The Silver Star....the PSX remake was titled Lunar: The Silver Star Story Complete, but the original one was simply The Silver Star

I loved both the PSone version and the GBA version. Loved the anime movies in the PSone version.

So long as the character sticks to the basic class of the SL (Hero, Wizard, Priets, Fighter, etc..) I dont mind starting off originals. However I would only change the Name, Description and or the sex of character.

Just to entroduce the original player characters....

Alex: Yearning Youth. Alex dreams of one day becoming a Dragonmaster just like his hero Dyne. But to fulfill his dream, he must leave behind all that he holds dear.

Luna: Blossoming Babe. Alex's mother has taken care of Luna since she was an infant. She is Alex's childhood sweetheart, though they'll never admit to it. No one can match the sound of her singing voice. Like most adolescents her age, she has many questions about herself.

Kyle: Boastful brigand. After winning the approval of Master Mel of Meribia, Kyle was put in charge of protecting the Nanza barrier. Dispite his youth he is a master swordsman and well respected by his loyal followers.

Jessica: Spunky spell caster. Jessica is the daughter of Master Mel, one of the four heros, and governor of Meribia. As an apprentice preist at Althena's Shrine, she is a master of healing spells.

Nash: Macho Mage. This extremely overconfident magician's apprentice is an understudy to a powerful magician in Vane.

Mia: Distinguished Daughter. Mia is the daughter of Lemia, one of the four heros and the leader of Vane. Lemia has protected Mia from the outside world for so long that she is oblivious to the joys and hardships found in the world below.

Didnt forget them. The characters I listed above are the ones I need to fill before I can start the Thread. Noone will be playing either Ghaleon or Laike. I will ne NPCing them due to the fact that those characters I forsee being the ones that people will abuse. Ramus will be offered out there if enough people want to join otherwise I'll NPC him out as well.

It would be fun to play Jessica or Mia...I always liked them. Luna is great too, but Jessica has more spunk and Mia is so gentle. :)
