OOC: Casting call for the Last Alliance

Righty-ho then! This is my first attempt at a thread, so if it goes off the rails, bear with me and let me know!

Now, I need a few people to play as a group of heroes! For those of you familiar with Warcraft, I will be basing it on that story, with the races they use. So, the heroes will be Humans, Elves, Dwarves or Gnomes...

This is quite open, so pracically anything will go as far as the quest goes, but the basic premise will be that the band has been formed to find a smissing tablet, supposedly taken by the Orkish Horde...

Righty-ho then! The races of the Alliance I referred to earlier. As for what you're characters are and do, well that depends...

For hardcore fighter types, there is the Paladin, the Footman, the Rifleman, (and so on). Humans have no favoured style of fighting, but Dwarves dent towards the role of Rifleman or Paladin (in their own way). Elves tend to be archers

On the magical side of things, there are clerics and mages, both human and elven.

What you carry is up to you, but please - no bombs!

(Where are we as far as Warcrat time line? Before WC3? After Frozen Throne? I have a good idea on how i want to develop my character but it is based on current events.))

Hmmm, good question! It will be set after the events of the Frozen Throne, about the time of World of Warcraft. The heroes will start on Theramore Isle, under the command of Jaina Proudmore

AWSOME! Just what I was hopeing for.

History: Sage was one of Uthar The Lightbrigers youngest pupils. He grew up with the traitor Athars and had played with him often. They were close freinds and had many youthful adventures. Sage did very well in his training but, like Arthas, is rather head strong. The other common trait he had with Arthas is a romance with Jaina Proudmore. But with Arthas being the Prince and Jaina being the admirls daughter, Sage had no chance. He did gain a rivalry with Arthas because of this and had burrowing hatetred toward him that didn't bode well with one of the palladin order.
During the undead invasion Uthar had brought Sage with him to "help". Truthfully Uthar didn't think that Sage was ready, and Sage knew this but deeply respected his mentor. When Jaina Left Lordaran, Sage wanted to go with, Uthar told him to stay with him. He knew he would reunite with Jaina sometime but didnt know it would be under such terrible cerrucumstances. Sage and Uthar and a few other palladin had been attacked by the undead and were clearly going to fall. Uthar had feared for his pupil and ordered him to run. Sage hated the idea of running, but hated the idea of dieing even more. He didn't get far when he looked back and saw that Uthar was being attacked, but by who he will never forget. He looked in horror at Arthas. He watched him strike down Uthar, his hate boiled over. He stood up and saw a ghoul behind him. This starteled the ghoul and it attacked him. He had no problem killing the beast but he felt something he hated feeling, he enjoyed killing it.
The next day he returned to his port home to find it being attacked. He was able to get in the town and was then able to rally the towns people to fend off the invasion. He knew that they didn't stand a chance against another attack, so he had them board there ships and follow Jaina accross the sea. The journey was long and uneventfull. When they reached land they had ben welcomed by the human surviors. (dont ask how they found eachother) Sage told Jaina of the events that had happened. They then remained in the newly built human city and waited.

(If you havent played WC3 that probably didnt make sence but there is a history of event at blizzards website if you are interested.)

He's been on his own for as long as he could remember. He makes wherever he camps his home, and is very knowledgable about pretty much any surrounding, having encountered almost all of them at some point in his travels. He can be very stubborn, and has a fierce temper, but is slow to anger. He stays out of all politics local and general, and knows only what he is told of the "outside world"

descr.:just one of them,wears a large mantle made out of raven feathers,and can change into a largish raven on command.otherwise he can cast spells and magics,and carries a large raven named Crow(lol) around all the time.

With the loss of the Elven homeland of Quel'Thalas, Geldor gave into hate and succomed to the dark side of magic.

Magic: Flame Strike, Siphon Mana and Phoenix.

Flame Strike: Conjures a pillar of fire which damages ground units in a target area over time.

Siphon Mana: Drains mana from an enemy and transfers it to himsel or to an ally.

Phoenix: Summons a powerful Phoenix. The Phoenix burns with such intensity that it damages itself and nearby enemy units. Has Spell Immunity, and Resistant Skin. When a Phoenix dies, it creates an egg that will hatch into a Phoenix.

Right then! Looks like the party of heroes is almost complete! I'll just add a character of my own to the mix and, hopefully soon, I'll be able to get this thing running!

As it stands, the party consists of:

Geldor Earthfire (Blood mage)

So, with humans and one elf, I think i'll play a Night Elf! But don't worry, she'll not go critisising Geldor!
