Bloodstone is based in a haunted house set on a small isolated island. The entire island is the property and grounds of the house.

Players are humans trapped by a storm that has washed out the road. It has also uprooted an old oak tree on the grounds. Under the roots of the tree are revealed human remains, the only clue as to the owners identity is a bloodstone ring. At that time strange things begin to happen in the house and the surrounding grounds.
The place is riddled with hidden doors, cellars, rooms, attics etc. The aim would be that the players have to find who/what/why/where/how the person died, and the ghost of the dead person is trying to help them so that their spirit can be avenged.

I'm the Ghost/s and another player is the murderer, but the murderer will act just like another player pretending to be trying to solve the mystery.

It is late 1800's so power and telephone have only just been invented, and unavailable in this area, so cant call for help, and forensic analysis is pretty difficult to say the least..

You are a human guest in a newly purchased and not fully rennovated mansion home turned hotel/inn. Use your detective skills, try to unveil the murderer, and figure out the story.

This is a bit of a cross between Cludo and early computer adventure games.

If you wish you can team up with other players to try and solve the mystery. Occasionally I may have to draw your attention to something in your vicinity.

This ISN'T going to be "invitation only" - it will be open to all, but PLEASE let me know who you are here before posting in the main thread. No were, vampires, zombies, magic allowed.

Firesprite,

Non violent thread I hope, except for the killing of braincells trying to decipher the clues...I in, will post a character soon...

Ohhh. Ahhhh.

It was--Colonel Mustard, in the conservatory, with the candlestick! Wait, no,.....Hmmm. This might be a tad more difficult. The late 1800's? Good lord, that means research! Why must you torment my last remaining greycell so!?!

I wanna be Professor Plum! Because, in the great words of Professor Plum, in the movie Clue,..."Then who did I kill?"

A lawyer.. very cool... but... he couldn't have heard of the murder since everyone was already in the mansion when the storm hit, knocking down the tree and isolated the island from the mainland. Perhaps you're on holiday?

done and done, i'm on holiday, and came to the masion before or after the murder... maybe i'm a guest at the place?

Name : Belmont Guthrie III
Age : 29
Hair : Brown
Eyes : Black

Bio : Belmont Guthrie III was born to a rubber plantation owner in British-owned territory of Malaya. Queen Victoria was on the throne, the British Rajs ruled India, with the East India Trading Company ruling three fifths of the known world. His father, Belmont Guthrie Junior, was rich enough to send his son back to England for school. In boarding school, Belly, Belmont’s nickname for his slight paunch, learnt much about the glory of the British Empire and little else except spending his father’s money in carousing and debauchery. His skills in bar room brawls soon brought him into the attention of a fisticuffs teacher and the Bobbies, of course. His father, upon learning of his prodigal son, promptly cut off all financing. Much sobered by his father’s actions, Belly survived matriculation by doing odd jobs and a generous aunt. Upon graduation, Belly returned to Malaya to help his father run the family plantation, and actually became respectable much to his father’s delight. Now in his late twenties, Belly was beginning to feel quiet discontent with the life of a plantation manager. The only women in his life right now were the occasional local girls. But nothing serious ever materialized. So begging his father for a short sabbatical from the quiet and peace of the plantation, Belly took a passage with a trading steamer. Not knowing how long it will take him, Belly was eager to explore like his great grandfather did. Little did he know that he was about to embark on an adventure.

Circumstance : The steamer trailed long wisps of smoke over the rolling seas, as the wind took hold of the sails. Belly, after the normal bout of seasickness, has now taken to the open decks at every opportunity. The coast line of Portugal quickly disappeared in the horizon, as the steamer made good time for the Port of Calais. Belly had decided to disembark at Calais and take a ferry to a decadent island off the Isle of Man. He had heard about it from the steamer captain. On the ferry ride across the Channel, Belly met a beautiful young French woman by the name of Zoé Lépine. Zoé and Belly got on fabulously, and they decided to make the best out of the trip together. Soon the shrill whistle of the steam ferry announced that the island was in view.

Bio:every bodie he knew he fought, jade is an san francisco street punk with no home, and he's always looking for trouble he finnaly found it.

Hybird.. thats not going to work. It is the 1800's Horses and carriages and steam ships. Electricity and telephone had only just been invented. People were pretty well groomed, and in this case, to stay at the mansion you'd have to have a fair bit of money, its not a free boarding house. There is no-one to fight here. Music was waltzes and foxtrots. Punk doesn't exist for another hundred years.

This is a historical MYSTERY, not a thriller.

Its also in England. See Zircons post above.
