OOC: Before the Dark Market

Greetings one and all. :) I am writing up this OOC to let the general public know that Ericviking and I are starting a prequil to his "Dark Market" role play. It will be set in early 8th Century Ireland and will involve Leif and his crew invading a small Irish village.

There are many roles that are open, but Eric and I ask that you write a character bio on this thread for us to approve before you begin posting in the story. Villagers and Vikings are both needed to make this story "full".

My character:
Name: Brigid O'Connel
Meaning: Being a God fearing people, her parents named her after St. Brigid, a 5th Century follower of St. Patrick and high abbess of a double monastery.
Height: 5' 5"
Hair: Long (middle of back) wavy red hair.
Eye: Almond shaped Emerald.
Quick Bio: Small breasts, petite, religious virgin girl.

The role play will be started by Eric and should be up soon! :D

Leif

Although it may be a little presumptous to plan a prequel to such a new thread, the idea resonated between BlessedBe and myself.

Leif is well described in the Dark Market and its associated occ at the following links.

In this thread, Leif has just earned his ship for saving the crew in a raid gone bad by rallying the men to fight there way out. At 20 something, he is a young captain but a natural leader. Inwardly he has some insecurities but is outwardly a Viking's Viking.

Enjoy...I hope.

Knute “Last Strike”
The ephettes of war are strange as they are given not taken, Mine was earned on many a Viking raid for in combat mine may not be the first blow but mine was always the last a lesson learned by Angle’s, Slav’s, the Irish, and even a Dane or tow for good measure. A lesson learned once and paid for with their lives as they left this world to travel “West” to the land of the spirits.

Ships navigator that is how I serve Leif, for I know the mysteries of what is written in the heavens, the secrets that guide our dragon ships through the fog, fog so dense a man can not see his hand in front of his face. Some shy away from me and whisper of second sight, for I can read the runes.

I'd say that sounds good. :) But I won't speak for Eric just in case... (Since he is the Viking and all... ;) )

Fine with me...

Just remember you are ~20 years younger in this thread....

Not quite so wise...

:)

Thank you both perhaps I will earn my battle name on this raid.

Let me know when to post.

If you want to help set the mood, you can go ahead and post now. It sounds like the "felt up" woman is the intro for me...and I'm just figuring out how I'll add my post. I'm not sure about the "history" in the other thread since I haven't read it all, but if it's appropriate your character could be the one who "felt me up"
and then got backhanded...?

Knute

Knute should be a squad leader ...

I don't think he should be the one I back handed...

I am not sure when he spend his time in the moorish prison...

maybe between the two threads....

;)

Okay. I know nothing from the first role play so I didn't know if his character would fit or not. :p

I may jump in can't play Wolf Fang thow as he's in his mid twontys in the first thread. so that would make him but a lad in this one.

It could have fit...but Knute is already a bolder character....

already blooded and a naviagator

Maybe you could be a bowman is this thread...

There will be a little more violence and mayhem

Give the matter some thought...run it by Blessed and myself

:D

Not that character gender matters...but isn't Nightray a woman?

Anyway, characters for the role play don't matter to me. Eric is the one who is more experienced with this theme. I'm just a village girl trying to get by in life ALIVE... ;)

Edited the post a bit so it conforms with your helpful suggestions. Thanks.

NIghtray is very much a male...

I made that mistake once ....too...

We could have woman in the crew but none has asked on either thread...

This will be more brutal than the DArk Market

I appologize Sir Night. You have permission to ravage me once Eric is done. ;)

smiles evily sounds good to me Blesssed.

and as to never being don she's got more then one whole to play with evil grin.

Now come on there must be some “Firry Irish Colleens” out there ready to be captured and ravaged by these fine strapping Viking?

Ladies?

This fits better

Erik, if the dark market doesn't work well, this sounds like a hoot, and I am raring to be irish! what fun! So if a lass is what you need, lass is what I'll be. But I'd like to have some fighting skills, if that's ok...just to add to a hard-to-break spirit, and maybe a girl who needs to be tamed ;) Let me know what you and blessed think.
