Why Can't Writers Post In The OOC?

This is the OOC for the role play, "Blond, Brunette, or Redhead?". It's purpose is to organize establish facts, introduce Characters, and propose Collaboration Ideas. Writers should PM all Profiles, Collaboration Ideas, and other thoughts to the Host. The Host will deal with them appropriately, which usually means posting something here.

The reason for this is simple: It is too difficult for me to manage the level of information I anticipate this Group Role Play to include if all of the participating writers are posting here. Please, please ... do me a favor and heed this request.

Introduction

Introduction

In the near future, technology has replaced humans in the work force at ever increasing rates to the point that there simply isn't enough work for even the computers, let alone the people.

It's still a Man's World; what is a woman to do when she can't support herself...?

Across the world, Accommodation Hotels offer nightly, weekly, and monthly rooms that come with all the amenities ... including a live in female whose role is to accommodate the guest's -- or guests', plural -- needs.

The Story
What has happened so far

Information is organized with links to posts, characters (upon introduction), and more. I do this to make it easy for both existing writers to find information they may recall having read; and for new writers to catch up on specific characters, things, or events. If you see something missing or find that the method below is not helpful, please PM me; I am always looking for better ways to organize my RPs.

INTRODUCING: Introductions are made PCs first, NPCs second; and are made in order of introduction.
Robert Barker, Hotel Guest (#1)
James, the Concierge (#1)
"Room 1414" (unidentified and available "Accommodation") (#1)
Yanni, the Hotel Superintendent (#2)
"Room 2511" (Elizabeth Garner) Available "Accommodation". (#2)
Kyle, Templeton, Human Resources (#3)

THE STORY:
#1 -- Introducing the concept of selecting a room.

#2 -- Introducing background on how life in the Hotel exists.

#3 -- Interviewing a prospective Accommodation (including an available female character).

Character Profile

Character Profile

IMPORTANT:
Profiles are to be PMd to the Host, NOT posted here.

To complete a Character Profile:
1. Block and copy the profile into a private message to the Host.
2. Complete it. It is not necessary to make it perfect; the Host is anal enough already and he will undoubtedly edit its format (not content).
3. PM it to the Host.
4. Wait for confirmation that your character has been added to the OOC. If you do not receive confirmation within 24 hours, please PM the host and ask, "What the fuck?"
5. Once confirmed ... have fun!

WRITER:
AnotherOldGuy (aka Guy)

CHARACTER NAME:
Robert Barker

GENDER AND AGE:
Male, 45

PIC and PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:
6'0", 202; very fit and proudly so.

PLACE IN THE STORY:
Frequent guest of The Harrison "accommodations" hotel

PERSONALITY:
Serious with those he doesn't know well; more laid back with friends and acquaintances.

Carries a bit of guilt for the effect of his business investments (described below). He is always trying to make up for his choices ... although, he's not going to let it get in the way of his own wants and desires.

Demanding of others, particularly of his employees and his "Accommodations".

PERSONAL BACKGROUND:
Has money -- tens of billions, though most people have no idea of how big that wealth truly is -- therefore he is well-to-do, well placed (professionally and socially), and more often than not well tended to by sycophants and others.

Was once married and had children (neither "fact" of which is yet established but further mentioned below in "Character Direction").

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND:
He comes from old money, which he turned into new, huge money by investing early in Arti-Intel, the world's largest and most valuable company and the originator of the artificial intelligence chips and software that changed the world into the automated system that it is.

DIRECTION YOU WANT TO TAKE YOUR CHARACTER IN:
Robert typically uses the same room -- and, therefore, the same Accommodation -- in any particular town, again and again; he's a creature of habit. The role play begins, however, with him changing Accommodations, a role that -- at this time -- is open. He isn't looking for love; he is looking for service from a woman with no limits to her accommodations, sexual or otherwise.

Robert sometimes feel guilty about the negative effects Arti-Intel's technology has had on the world. Given the right inducements, he would help the right people improve their station in life if he felt they were where they were because of him.

THE BIG TWIST:
Robert's parental meddling caused his daughter -- a Freshman in college at the time and currently an available character -- to run off and abandon her plush but highly structured life. Robert attempted to made amends but to no avail; when she refused to be part of his life, he provided her with a monthly allowance and told her, "Be safe."

Robert's wife -- also an available character -- pissed at his refusal to drag his daughter back, left him -- with a huge settlement, of course -- saying that she would care for their daughter on her own and that he never need contact either of them ever again.

Almost immediately, however, the daughter told mom to stick it, too. So now, neither of the parents understand that their daughter is living totally on her own ... not using Daddy's money ... as an Accommodation in another Hotel.

ANYTHING ELSE THAT WILL HELP EXPLAIN YOUR CHARACTER:
Robert's posts will typically be longer than most characters' posts because -- as one of the Host's primary characters -- he will be providing a great deal of the background and description of the current world. Don't ever feel you have to match the length and detail of my posts; it is neither necessary nor expected.

YOUR STYLE OF SEXUAL ROLE PLAY:
I don't get really dirty. I describe sexual interaction, of course, but more on a Playboy magazine level than a Hustler one. Here are examples of my sexual interaction writing:
From a vampire role play: getting started, getting to it, getting it done.
(My collaborator's posts are not included because I am showing off my own writing, obviously. Hope it's not confusing to read.)

From an older man-younger woman role play: getting started.
