Is it possible to ban a specific person from your own thread? Because if it isn't, it should be.

Do you remember something called Freedom Of Speach? If Sex-Maniac69 can become an ALMOST guru in under a month, then appearently anyone can do whatever the hell they want.

Um, yes, I know about freedom of speech (not speach), I mean there's a warning right next to the post box, but I also know that it's also possible to make private threads at other sites, so I was just trying to figure out whether someone could ban someone else from their thread if that person is ruining it (can you say "run-on sentence"?).

Welcome aboard YoYoYo! :) All of these "Maniacs" are quite annoying, yes. It's a shame that we can run them all out of here. ~sigh~

Hey Tiggs, you wanna be in my thread called "High School Fun," I need someone else other than those sexmaniac people.

Thank you for the invite. I'll think it over. :) Right now I have a couple/few threads that I've kinda neglected over the holidays. ~sigh~

Okay, it's just those maniac guys sort of ruined a thread that I considered to be a pretty good idea, even if it isn't very new and different (laugh).

Hey asshole.I havent touched your goddamn thread.

What the fuck, tiggs. I go outta here I take your advice about not having to many threads, and you want me out?Thats what I get when I listen to people, god.

From all I know ....

Hello everyone,

looks like the original question hasn't been answered yet, so I would like to give it a go:

Is it possible to ban a specific person from your own thread? Because if it isn't, it should be.

Nope - from all I know it is not possible to close/open threads to a specific group of posters only. (Actually, even unregistered guests can come and post any time they like, which imho is a good thing because it rewards the boards with a variety of opinions and interesting input.)

As for the Role Playing Boards, be it the sexual or other one, a kind of etiquette, based on the generally mature and friendly nature of the participants has proven to be usefull. If you want a thread to be played by specific people only, you can state that in the first post or even in the title. Usually this is respected from everybody and people stay away from those threads. Another way to have a role play "closed to public" is to simply "play" in e-mail with those you want to play with.

To those now who want to play - if a thread clearly says that all characters are taken or that only a certain group of players is "invited" - why bother? There are so many interesting scenarios set up for you ... why bother with rejection instead of going where you are wanted?? So many talented writers are waiting for you to co-operate and play!

And if it should happen that someone really does not WANT to respect your wishes/comments or is getting obnoxious my advise is to simply ignore those posts! By responding you make them "grow" until they blow up a thread ... but by ignoring - poof! - they simply will be a little nuissance that can be scrolled over.

OK - to make a long ramble short:
Show the same respect and common courtesy here, just as you would in real life, and we should all get along smooth and nicely - without any further means of control and reinforcement of rules.
