OOC and Casting- Marvel

I had an idea for a RP about the marvel universe. You could be anyone you want, we will need both good and bad guys. They can be dead or alive or made up it dont matter I was just curious if anyone would be interested.
If so i will be Spiderman.

great so who do you want to be? And since you have some experience at the comic threads could you help out with a start point?

I'm not sure who to use yet. Well you should think of some kind of plot, what kind of event would occur that would draw heros, living and dead, to take action? After that I would say think of a few plot twists, something to surprise everyone by later down the road.

Ok i understand...i have a good idea and a couple of twists. But we need more people, and i need to see what characters to put where and things, before we start.

My two cents..

A marvel thread would be a nice change of pace from some of the stuff here. I remember playing the old Marvel RPG that came out over a decade ago. I'll be happy to play, and if I do, I'll use one of my old guys I made up for the game. A starting point for a group of superheroes is very hard to make up, they can't meet up with each other in a bar fight like two-thirds of the fantasy threads start off with. My suggestion would be that if it's a small number of heroes, you should make them members of a pre-made group. Basically what I'm saying is that we should be members of a team already, rather than be seperate, unless you want somewhat disorganized mayhem.

Of course, there could be some major threat to the city which forces the mayor to ask all superheroes to come to city hall and try to stop this menace whatever it is, as a team, that to is an option. Anyway, those are my thoughts on this..

Welcome, you have some good ideas and i just may steal one or two of them lol. Go ahead and post your character and we can start in a few days as soon as we get some more people. We do need a couple of bad guys though so if you know of anyone who might like this kind of RP please tell them about it and see if they would like to join up!

Hey, I'd like to join in. My first choice would be Wolverine, so I'll take him, but if no-one wants to go a bad guy I would also be happy to go Magneto.

2. Kang
3. Ultron
or any other big bad mammajamma lol

PS: Dark could you be Magneto? He will play a part in the story I am working on...

Guess I should talk about my guy...

My guy, this so called hero, isn't that good at heroing. He's remarkably good at marketing himself and is publicly well known. He's a bit of a buffon though, and a good bit of comic relief.

Name: Deathbane
Occupation: Owner of a small chain of gun shops known as "Guns, Liquor and Ammo, Your One Stop Shop."
Race: Robot
Secret Identity: None, known to all.
Special Powers:
Body Armor: Not terribly strong can stop small stuff (knives etc.) can even stop low caliber bullets, but nothing big.
Projectile Gun: Big cannon that he carries around attached to his arm, can blow open most doors and or walls, he can shot not to kill with it ifhe has too.
Claws: (seems to me in the old Marvel RPG, EVERYONE, and I mean EVERYONE had to have claws, even me, heh.) Nowhere near like Wolverines, can open letters and flesh on occasion, he usually prefers to slug people though.
Interesting things about him:
Owns a small garage full (8 of them) of Yugo's with Deathbane painted on the side in red paint with flames painted coming from the wheel wells. Has two machine guns mounted on it to the sides of the hood, can be fired from within the car. Does NOT mind the fact that everyone knows him, and he's always good for a sound bite during a tussle with a bad guy.

Ok Plot time...

Doctor Doom has forward in time getting a history book. This book tells of 6 Heros who rule the galaxy in peace. Doom with the help of and enchantress. Try to figure out who the 6 are and kill the parents before the childern can be born, giving doom a better chance at total domination.

Uatu, the watcher has called on earths heros and has told them of Dooms plan. Uatu also has a book that tells of the 6 and gives it to Reed Richards to try and figure out who the parents of the 6 are and how to stop doom.

that is the plot, if you have any ideas for it go ahead and offer them I think we will start in a couple of days if everyone is ready.
