OOC and Casting Call: SRP Halloween Party

I've been kicking around the idea of a SRP Halloween Party in the SRP Cafe for about a week. It's time to fish or cut bait. I have a rough outline on how the Halloween Party thread can go, but before I spend a bunch of time setting it up, I need to know if people are on board.

Since this would be a short-term thread with a limited shelf life, I have a story progression that I think will work, while allowing all contributors to be creative within the thread. I can keep the story moving along (with the help of some major characters that I will contact directly), while the sex takes place at the party. Each of you will be free to control your own action while the party is taking place, but as we near the end of the story, certain climactic events will take place.

I need everyone's indulgence on this. I will be assuming control, kind of acting like a director. This isn't something I normally like to do, but I think its necessary for something like this. Otherwise, we'll just have another group sex orgy thread, which we can do anytime.

Like I said, I have a few major characters that will play into the story development, so look for me to contact you soon and share my ideas.

If this all sounds like a bad idea, tell me now, and save me some work, OK?

As you can see from my last post, I'm concerned we don't have enough interest to get a real party thread going. I would think we need at least 10 people, and I don't see it.

For me to do this the way I was thinking, I would need to write an intro with the setting, etc. I don't want to do that, and THEN find that it all fizzles.

That doesn't mean we cant do some kind of Halloween party. Any other ideas from the group?

I remember a very involved costume party thread from several years ago, we were assigned costumes by the creator/starter of the thread and then even had to find the other character that would fit with ours at the party. That was a lot of fun, a lot of work too, but a lot of fun. It also went on for a lot longer than a week.

If anyone else remembers it, I'd love to hear other memories. Of course, I have no idea what it was called...
