CASTING CALL , We need any and all people we can get for Clan McCallister. Anyone who is interested is more than welcome to join. I am looking to make the thread about the whole clan.. not just the lord and lady..

If someone wants to bring in someone from a Clan near by be it friend or foe i plan on clan there being a clan war, or the disposil of an evil cousin..... and or much more....depending on how the storie unfolds.. There are also the English invador's to concider. *grins* I hope you will join us and help us unfold the events of our clan's future.

Highland clans are family/villages/county.......Comes in different sizes. Smaller groups pledge loyalty to larger, patron, or landlord. Makes oath to supply men, arms, food and anything else that the lord requires.

No standing armies as such, but when the clans are summoned, they form rather quickly and with the built in fielty system, leaders and officers are already in place.

Planned marriages for state, property or alliances. Leaves for intrique. Always fought the British. Won independance and are free. Internal strife has kept Scotland from becoming a major power.

Good enough..... History a little sparse. But Clan MacMillian is for real
Central Scotland and western highlands.

Hi all i am bringing Back Clan McCallister it was one that several others and i enjoyed when i was LadyFairy and i hope you will join and enjoy also..

The McLeods are welcome in the thread if you want to bring them in and i am open to suggestions and ideas from everyone.

I am in....So what era of the clans? 1745 was the end of the clans so everything prior is game.

Are each making families in the clan or just one character? We fighting? politics? farming? I am open to it all. Would love to run a farm like most warriors did until they were called up...

Love to hear more but I am very interested.

yes to all of your questions jagged i am hoping to work it all into the thread at some point.. as i said at the begining when i first made the thread i want it to be about everyone not just the lord and lady tho Brinna is working on finding a husbend for her clan.. and yes i am thinking 1700's around the time King James still ruled scottland before being imprissoned. which would also mean that william wallice wasnt killed yet ether.. i think..

Ah dear William Wallace died before 1314 when Robert the Bruce freed Scotland with the help of the Cambells...who ended up an influencial clan.


1700's is Scotland's last gasp of freedom....The English and the Germans have close ties and many things are going on.

Go to wikipedia and get a crash coarse in Scotish history...it is all very interesting stuff.


Or we could just simply have a human clan in a fantasy setting. That could be very fun. Write our own history.

lets make it the 1715 John Erskine, the 23rd Earl of Mar raises a standard for "King James VIII" at Braemar that attracts widespread support in north east Scotland.. this would add in our political standings and allow for the clans men and those in our area to decide wether to join John Erskin or to keep to our own.. and so forth. It would also explain why James would want Brinna to marrie quickly and have one of his trusted men as liard.
