This is a call for players!! The actual thread will be up and running soon for those you want a little more detailed plot development. It will be entitled "An Invitation from Beyond." This will be the official OOC thread for all comments that are out of character.


An Invitation from Beyond

Story Plot: Five years after the death of Lauren Hillcrest (a rich eccentric spinster) five people (3 women and 2 men) have been summoned to stay in her mansion according to the codicil of her will. They have been promised a great reward if they abide by her wishes. These people are from different places and have never met each other before but they are intrigued by the reward. The only person who knew Lauren is her former attorney. Shortly upon the arrival of the players they sense that something is amiss. The mansion seems to be occupied by her spirit.

Players needed:
3 men – you may work up your own profiles (one must take on the role of my attorney as he was ordered to stay in the mansion)

3 women- you may also develop your own characters

Lauren will be played by myself – Her spirit will manipulate the characters to some degree. She maneuvers them to be together (maybe also apart) at certain times. Once they are together, however, the players have license to direct their own characters. (I envision that some of these characters conflict with each other)

This cast of players can be added on to - just let me know who wants to be involved.

25yo, 6'4", 250lbs (mostly muscle, but starting to fade)
Blue eyes, Brown hair cut to a flattop.
Attractive enough, but also somewhat scary.

Welcome aboard Xantham and catlover. As soon as I get a few female players I will start the new thread. Catlover, what I need is a physical description in this thread. We will develop the characters in the acual thread. This is meant to be for OOC purposes.

If you are able, recruit another male player and 3 female players!!

As I said we can incoporate as many players that are interested. I am trying, however, to make this an even distribution. With the excpetion of my self, as I will not be interacting directly with the characters.

Cassie, 27 yrs old, single, blonde, blue-eyed. Is in trouble in several states, looking for a place to hide out for a while, and why not try for some great reward. Supposedly the house is spooked....well, some of my past lovers have been even spookier, so I'm sure I can take on an old house. I'm 5'7", with a body most men believe is made for only one purpose...hence the trouble I'm in with the law. I pretend to be street-wise and tough, but below the surface there is a vulnerability that is terrified to surface.

I am so ecstatic that this thread is getting such a quick response, especially from some VERY talented writers, You all more than welcome to participate. (LOVE writing with you too SexyChele)

I still am in DESPERATE need of 2 more female players!! So please spread the word (or anything else you'd like to spread lol) I would also gladly accept more males IF I can get female players to balance out their roles!! Do not want ANYONE left out of the action!!

One other thing I need are last names (it is crucial to my story plot)! You will find out why later

Just a suggestion here, but we've got you, 2 guys and 3 girls eager to start. Why not just let the game start and see who shows up? I'm not sure how you wanted to intro this, but I'm sure once we all get to "know" one another, others may want to join.

Not much of a will to read. Just the codicil i think. But please make up anything that you deem appropriate. He is your character to have creative reign over. And the story plot also. The character I had envisioned, you put into words exactly!!!

Okay, I'll drop a reading of the will in, but Winthorpe might try to sneak a few of his own conditions in, seeing as how he's a bit of a rogue...though he too can sense a vague unease about this place.

Should I assume that Winthrope only knew Lauren Hillcrest vaguely, perhaps it was an account of his father's he took over and he considers the will a mere formality?
