What do you think? I am trying one at a Gay sight, the problem is I don't know if anyone is reading it. Is that the point?

Well, as much as I've thought of doing something like this on more than one occasion for myself, I admire your ambition. I personally don't have the discipline to keep at it.

I suppose you can look at it in several ways. One is as a journal site that you expect people to read, enjoy, comment, etc. The other might just be for your own enjoyment, and being able to get your thoughts somewhere that you can review them later. In my case, I'd look back and wonder, "You were hung up about that?! Fuckwit!" But then again, I tend to think that as I get older, my past history gets more asinine.:)

I'll bet if you included a link to it from your signature here, you'd get more hits... but then again, maybe you can't find out at all if someone is reading it, and then that does seem a bit "off".

Good luck!

THere is no feedback at this site.

I would include a link, but there I am writing about who I really am. Not that I don't speak the truth here, but on LIT no one really cares if I have to fire someone, they just want to know about anal sex. Makes me a little sad that topics that are serious to the GLBT community hardly get posted too, but threads about eating cum out of different holes in the human body go crazy.

Deezire...

...that does make it a bit different then. Well, I'm not sure how much control over the site content you have, but if they allow you to post links within your diary, or even some limited HTML coding, you might be able to find a simple counter to provide statistics. Granted, it's not the easiest way to achieve what you're looking for, but better than nothing. You'll have to see what they allow.

As far as what becomes important here, I can understand. Lit is an interesting place, and not without its nuances. It may not be a consolation, but there are plenty here that do care, but sometimes it's easier to find comfort via PM, since sincerity can be conveyed there easier.

If you care to, I'll be happy to listen, and if possible help. Unfortunately, my access to the Lit Forums is limited to the evenings away from work. I guess that keeps me honest & working hard, but I miss being able to share throughout the day.

Good luck, and let me know if I can help with your counter at all. :)

I'm just curious, deezire, what gay-specific blog/journal publishing sites have you found? I've been a pretty hardcore blogger for a number of years but I'm not familiar with any that are gay-specific publishers.

I just happened upon this lesbian art site, and they have an online diary section. It has been fun, but I am so busy that I have found I post a little less often then others.

www.lavenderdoor.com

I wanted a free one, because I just can't see paying in order to get things out of your mind and into cyber space...I should go to a shrink then.
