Online Adult Virtual Worlds

Ok, this might be a bit off-topic, but I'll give it a try.

Does anyone here have any experience with any online virtual adult world, you know, like "Second Life" with adult content?

Lately I come across a lot of advertising for - for instance - Red Light Social Center or stuff like that. Now it says that it is free (there is of course a VIP account possibility) and that you simply download it, create an acount and there you go.

Now I never have used anything similar, not even non-adult programs like Second Life. I wonder, is it worthwhile?

If anyone has joined and used something like that, I got a gazillion of questions.

How does it work?
Is it really free? Or are there hidden costs?
Does it work outside of the states? (I read something about age verification)
How much adult content is there really?
Are there sufficient people there or is it only two guys there, trying to find each other?

And generally, give me your experiences, good or bad.

So, I'm hoping for responses.

I was into RLC for almost all of 2008 and found it to be almost as challenging, rewarding, frustrating, horny, boring and only a little less expensive than real life.

For me the pros were:

Making heaps of friends
Better than average cybersex
The 3D environment was well rendered as were the avatars
The profile section was great...lots of flexibility to add pics, message, bulletin etc etc
Minimal spam
Lag time was almost non existent
The so-called Zaby rooms are fun if requiring patience to make.

Cons:
Nothing really was free...a VIP membership was about $40Aus per month on average and that was the only way to really get the best out of it.
Most of the greenies (i.e. non-paying members) were irritating
No combination of avatar and voice chat
limited positions and combinations for cybersex
Body shape couldn't be changed
Men's clothes were limited.
Friends can and did become possessive (happened to me and part reason why I left)

All up I'd say if you want to try RLC go in for about 2 months as a VIP. Anything less either in time or expense is useless as an experience.

tried one of these once, don't remember what one but the ads advertised full XXX simulations. Turned out it wasn't free llike it said, unless you got the VIP membership you couldn't do anything but walk around and chat.

Secondlife <<< is free and has a LOT of sexual poses/positions and kinks too (bdsm included!)

It is 3D MMORPG and worth the try, I'd say!

No, I have never tried it. I feel that the socalled free sites are not free. That is just my opinion. Everytime I try a free site I am asked for a credit card.
