well... its not that hard for me to not care that much about the body. i was always the "fat girl" while growing up... i've heard every joke in the book and i will say that they all hurt just as much as the first one did.... and i wont let myself judge someone on their appearance cuz of how much i know it hurt me as a child.

The appearance is the whole foundation for how the animal world operates.........no matter how much we tell ourselves that appearance doesnt matter, we ALL know it does. I'm no exception BUH-lieve me........I've sat in the corner of MANY a bar while the long, lanky guys got approached by the gals...

i'm not going to argue with you on this anymore... i dont think you'll ever believe me, or you dont want to... but whatever, its not worth my time to try and argue part of my personality with you. i am the way i am because i try to learn from my experiences instead of dwelling on them (especially the bad ones there).

and besides that.... i might not be attracted to every guy that walks by, but i'm not about to shun anyone because of how they look. it's not like we get to decide how we look (unless you can afford and have plastic surgery), so i dont see why i should look differently upon the supposedly not pretty (or as some would say, ugly) or nonconformist in comparison to the way society has many perceptions built.

Looks are not the whole issue. To be honest--no one is perfect and everyone can expect to look like Dear Sweet Gran some day. Looks can be icing on the cake--but they are not the best part.

(When I get a message on IM or an e-mail with a picture, I usually don't bother looking. Unless I am actually going to meet the person, it is irrelevant. If someone asks right off what I look like or if I have a picture, I usually blow them off and assume the person is underage. When the pictures i get are of some major hottie, I automatically discard them too--they are either fake or full of themselves--i know it can happen that someone who has an awesome photo might be real, but if they are--they would not be worried about sending/getting pictures over the internet!)
