One Special Talent

I would choose sing. I would love to have the talent of Whitney Houston or Aretha Franklin. You can sing until you die and can make lots of money. You can use your voice to touch people, move them, woo them, soothe them, seduce them.

That to me would be wonderful.

Mine would be art. I would love to be able to capture my visions and using whatever medium I wished create something that would make people pause in awe.

I think mine would be to have the talent to bring world peace, to get everyone to love and respect one another, and to care for one another.
 
I'd like to be leader in a field who makes a positive
difference in lots of others lives, and who experiences
many adventurous twists of fate - unlike the traditional
road I've traveled. Once I read an obituary of a woman
who kept an american paratrooper safe in her barn during
wwII. She went on to become a very active volunteer for
the French resistance: hiding people in her barn and helping to smuggle them out of the country. Years later
after her husband died, she traveled to america and married
the soldier that she had first safeguarded. She went on
to be an american spy. She found time to have kids too!
Another person that fascinates me is the head of public health department in san francisco (my city) when the AIDS epidemic first evolved. Can you imagine the drama he must have endured seeing people die, discovering the cause,
closing the bath houses, battling with all the political, religious, and economic factions to do what needed to be done.

I like to think that I can sing, but if I had any desires it would have to be, the ability to write brilliant lyrics.
