One Sex Partner for Life? Nah!

I had a discussion with my SIL yesterday and I
need input from the inhabitants of this board.

My SIL and her husband are both in their early
50's and have been married for 30+ years. They
were both virgins on their wedding night and
claim to only have had sex with each other--no
other partners for either of them. My wife (her
sister) and I are about the same age and have
been married slightly longer. But we've each
had a number of other partners--mostly before we
married but each of us has had one or two
afterwards. We don't swing but have given in to
temptation in the past.

I believe that very few people in this day and
age have only had sex with their spouse--my
guess is maybe 10-15% tops.

Also, I believe that many people who have had no
or very limited sexual experience before
marriage later regret their inactivity and
either experiment with extramarital sex later or
feel cheated/deprived.

My SIL believes many people go through life with
only one sex partner. We really disagree on this point. She also says she has no regrets with her lack of experience.

Anyone else have experience or a view on these
points? Serious inputs only please.
