The ecology.

For years, they have been desiring high gas prices as the best way to get us out of our cars to save the planet. They won in '06, put their plans in motion, and now we have have what they have been lecturing us over for decades now.

But, in their generosity, they are giving all the credit to Bush and the Republicans.

This year, they are promising to soak the rich to get even...

Folks. That CAN happen...

If we listen to Barack,

and accept less.

Happily...

:)

How much was gas per gallon in 2000? $1.54 per gallon was the nationwide average in March.

One year ago, a mere couple of months after the NEW Democratic congress took office, the national average was $3.22 per gallon. But it's their fault?

This from the same person who was crying about the "do nothing" congress before they had even been sworn in. :rolleyes:

Iraq is another reason.

They couldn't get us out, so they produced peace through vacillation. BRILLIANT!

Hey UD...

What's the difference between the Democrat and Libertarian candidates?

Both are saying all they have to offer is less, but only Barack wants to raise your taxes to do it...

The Libertarian candidate is, like you, a "Not Republican". Wait, he doesn't even claim that status does he? He was a Republican until they were soundly trounced in 2006. He suddenly became a Libertarian a month later. Bobby come lately.. :rolleyes:

Another great reason...

Their largess to the farm community...

Bush said, "I propose we keep the spending levels you were bashing me over as a wasteful fop to red-state voters."

Nancy said, "Oh hell no no mister. That's not nearly enough. We need to be in DESPERATE financial straights come November since we can no longer win on losing the war..."

'Cept mebbe a well-kept purse and a clean pork broom...

Immigration policy sucks and Pickled Pork Feet are all the rage now. "Damn Mabel, ya ever seen that on the Horses Dovers menu before? Open up that laptop an' check to see it that's Aksarben approved."

Reason three: Peace

We will be at peace with the world, when we are more socialized.

[paraphrasing Maxine Water's free-form recital of John Lennon's "Imagine" to the oil company execs...]

Imagine there's no possession...
It's easy if you try.
No need for greed or hunger.
A brotherhood of man...

You may say he's a dreamer.
But Barack's the guy for me.
I hope some day you join us,
Come and sip our grape kool-aid...

Damn good thing you and Maxine, the fucking economic genious, got your 'civilizin' priorities in order.

Once we get this country whipped inta pacification, we'll nationalize those damn oil companies. *Gimmee the list duumy*

Yep, these are the ones;

* Saudi Arabian Oil Company 295
* National Iranian Oil Company 287
* Qatar Petroleum 165
* Abu Dhabi National Oil Company 137
* Iraq National Oil Company 137
* Gazprom 115
* Kuwait Petroleum Corporation 107
* Petróleos de Venezuela S.A. 102
* Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation 62
* National Oil Corporation (Libya) 45
* Sonatrach 40
* Rosneft 35

We're gonna nationalize all dem bitches. I be smart like that.

The worst part is...

Nobody blinks an eye when the short ribs go to Alaska instead of Appalachia...

Most of the ignorant cunts here are more interested in 'Killing Igors goat.'

When has it changed bro? Really? We are truly reaping the harvest of government education now.

Ishmael

The best reason of all...

Republicans are bad, selfish people who don't care about others, or our perception abroad.

Burma's so afraid of us that they would rather die than accept our aid thanks to George W. Bush and his stupid idea that you can export freedom like he's exported our jobs...

:D

That dojo in Mandaly's got to be a bitch what with the travel expenses.

Stop posting facts.

It's the democrats fault, damn it. A_J said so!

Let's see now, in the 911 is Bush's fault threads, 8-9 months was enough time for him to solve all the world's problems, so inherited shortcomings from ALL SIDES are all his fault. You can't blame the previous administration, leader or anyone else...
But NOW, it can't be Congress' fault, because of their predecessors.

Conditional ethics all around, UD?

What HAS this congress done to make us proud of them?
What IS their approval rating?
Oh, the previous Congress was GOP, so it's not the currents' fault...that's right...

Here is a better reason, Socialism. So we can all just rely on the government to do everything, including all our thinking as well, and of course, the rich will pay for everything.

You would have a point if the Democrats had fulfilled one promise they made to the American people. They did not have a gas plan, as they told us. They flat-out lied to us when they told us they would get us out of Iraq. The earmark process was going to be made transparent and they were going to be vetted and voted on. This was going to happen in the first 100 hours or days.

None of it is because their gas plan IS to make it too expensive to drive. The investors and speculators knew that with Democrats in office, supply was going to remain constricted, so they continue to bid the price up because they know the Democrats are happy with violence and economic malaise, for they are going to do what they have been doing for as long as I can remember; do nothing but spend ever more and then blame Republicans.

You were right about the Republicans and they paid the price. That's why Ish and I are happy to see the second coming of Jimmy Carter and sad because it means Hillary will still be running for President in December.
