Quick question for y'all..

One night in band camp... Actually, it was last night, after the party...

Usually I have to work Saturday nights so I miss the parties at the club. But, yesterday my shift got changed to a day shift (yay!) so I got to go. (Sometimes D goes without me.) I would guess it has to do with the change in hormone levels, sorta like I how I used to get migraines during PMS when I was on birth control pills. If this is the case I am not sure how to avoid it. Maybe one of our nurses will know?

Could it be some sort of dehydration...? Long and intense sex usually makes very, very thirsty... I had a girlfriend once who, well, would lose a lot of fluids during play and had to drink loads of water afterwards... I think dehydration can cause severe headache...

There's only one thing that comes to my mind after reading your description. You said you had screaming orgasms. Do you also sort of hold your breath when you cum?

I'm kinda thinking that you might have ruptured some small blood vessels in your brain, or right behind your face (sinuses, temples, etc, etc). It's not too serious and usually the pain will go away, but if it's bad enough, the pain can last until the next day. I've actually had something similar happen one night after drinking too much and having the dry heaves. I was hurling so hard that I had a headache for a day or two, and even popped some vessels in my eyes and had a big red splotch in the white part of my eye ball for about 2 or 3 days.

That's the only thing I can think of.

As for how to keep it from happening... mmm I guess just keep breathing and not letting that pressure build up in your head... although that seems to add to the really intense feeling of a good hard cum...

I have occasionally experienced faint spells after aseries of really good orgasms, but put it down to my blood sugar levels as it is a recurring problem at times for me. Usually is okay after a few hours. Maybe worth you getting checked out if it happens again.

I have gotten headaches after intense orgasms... It may be breathing and that I have been told I do get loud...

It has not lasted for more than a short time, and I never worried about it.

My blood pressure is normal, at least it was at my last Dr's appointment early this year.

If it is deliberating like you say, I think you should get it checked out.

Sometimes, an orgasm like you describe puts a lot of adreneline into your system. If you have allergies, it can open up sinuses and fill them again and cause headaches.
Also, it's possible that you are subject to migraines.

Better see a doctor.

It's called Orgasmic Cephalgia, a mild-to-severe cluster-style headache occuring at orgasm, 3 times more likely to strike men than women, most commonly afflicting younger people, likely to strike those between 2- & 25 the worst. In the interest of science, we've been experimenting. Carefully, of course. On tuesday night, lots of fun, lots of sm with the D/s, no headache. Last night was lighter on the SM, still lots of D/s, and a headache, but not as severe as the last time. The really big difference besides the pain play was the wind up. On Saturday and on Wednesday, we didn't spend as much time time as on Tuesday. Tuesday was a pretty much all afternoon up until midnight sort of thing. So I'm thinking maybe it was similar to James' OC info, except that it doesn't occur before or at orgasm; it's usually occuring shortly there after. As long as I'm laying down, I'm fine. Which sort of points more towards a high blood pressure thing. With the way work my job has been going thats a definate possiblity. One thing that D pointed out was that it's possible the headache was there on Tuesday, but since I was all endorphined up so it just didn't register. Apparantly I was pretty spacey Tuesday night
