"One man's death does not matter."

gsgs comment- I was struck speechless at these words, spilling out of the mouth of a religious leader. Pat Robertson said this, and it was recorded.

Immediately, cognitive dissonance kicked in. Pat Robertson made a living on the back of Christianity's Jesus the Christ.

The death of one man was a world-changing event. A.D. and B.C. were used for many centuries, until diversity demanded alternative terms. "A.D., the year of Jesus the Christ's birth, B.C., the era before Jesus the Christ's birth. It is rumored that the availability of abortion access is fought, because Christians fear their Jesus the Christ may never return through a woman's womb.

A reader wrote in a question as to why so many people would be opposed to Donald Trump and his quest to “make America great again.” To the reader, this didn’t make sense, so Pat explained. In his answer, Pat said he believed that what was happening was truly “satanic” because “America is the great hope of the world.”

If you think that America is the “great hope of the world” you have yet to become a Christian.

Why?

Because Jesus is the great hope of the world. That’s the *entire* premise of the Christian religion.

The rules that the Christians use for themselves, are the Commandments, and murder is forbidden.

Or, only the murder of someone that is an Evangelist Christian, matters ?

Opinion

The stench of greed permeates every church or religious organization that ventures into the world of politics. Any witness for the Gospel sinks into the cesspool of backstabbing and power grabs. Every single time.

The pathetic Pat Robertson at least spoke the truth on this one: Why worry about some journalist’s brutal death when the US can sell a 100 billion dollars worth of arms to Saudi Arabia?

(gsgs comment-
Except, for the fact that, the premise of a potential 100 billion falling into the hands of tRump is a lie. That ship sailed long, ago. The weapons were bought and paid for, before tRump sat his gigantic yam backside in the Oval office. Mike Pompeo collected a bag full of money on his last visit to Saudi Arabia, but it was not payment for weapons provided. What was it for ? "A payment for Things ?" Would not be a campaign contribution, would it ?

"When the church gathers unto itself riches; when the church hoards power for a small group of rulers, almost always exclusively male; when the church participates in practices that support murders and torture, as Pat Robertson and his ilk are doing by saying money from Saudi Arabia matters more than the life of one journalist; then the church has discarded its moral compass."

Khashoggi was just a scribe.

Matthew 23:13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

14 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.

15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.

Mystery of Why Mike Pompeo Was Given $100 million Dollars While Visiting Saudi Arabia

Orange tRump does not have much use for educated, serious, responsible, vetted legitimate journalists. tRump might have derived schadenfreude from the torture and murder of Jamal Khashoggi. The venomous tRump might have considered it a strike against the Washington Post, journalists, and Jeff Bezos.

The presence of a Jamal Khashoggi lookalike on the 15-man team dispatched to either abduct or murder the journalist has added to mounting questions about Saudi Arabia’s evolving narrative as Turkey’s president prepares to disclose more details about the case.

Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-TX), a member of the House intelligence committee, cited "disturbing" reporting that claimed that President Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner "may have, with U.S. Intelligence, delivered a hit list – an enemies list – to the crown prince, to MBS, in Saudi Arabia.

No mystery. The Trump administration keeps corruption front, center, and obvious and the Republicans in Congress are complicit in that.

And as obvious as the keep their corruption and the things they support....the family value Christians can't get enough of him.

Very telling

Three prominent United Nations experts – Bernard Duhaime, chair-rapporteur of the Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances; David Kaye, the UN special rapporteur on freedom of expression; and Agnes Callamard, the UN special rapporteur on summary executions, have called for an “independent and international investigation” into the Khashoggi matter.

The coalition has committed numerous violations of international humanitarian law in Yemen, including likely war crimes, and has failed to carry out credible investigations into alleged violations or to provide civilian victims redress.

Joint Incidents Assessment Team

JIAT has not only conducted its investigations without a transparent methodology, but appears to have regularly failed to conduct a thorough laws-of-war analysis in its investigations and produced flawed and dubious conclusions. JIAT appears only to have investigated coalition airstrikes, but not other alleged violations of international law by coalition members, such as UAE abuses against people in detention.

As Saudi Arabia’s largest weapons suppliers, the US and UK have continued to sell billions of dollars’ worth of weapons to Saudi Arabia and other coalition states throughout the conflict.
