I realize the election is still pretty far off to be looking at polls, but the needle is moving.

https://www.newsweek.com/donald-tru...ican voters,in the 2024 presidential election.

According to a survey of 1,003 Americans by Canadian polling firm Leger, Trump does not command the full support of his base and 33 percent of this demographic would have preferred another politician. Meanwhile, this proportion is higher (47 percent) among Republican voters aged 18-34 years old.

It seems to be - finally.

I only care about it from a voting perspective, though; they can choke on their previous positions AFAIK. No redemption until they've suffered enough to actually have learned their lesson.

I honestly do not see how they bounce back from this. Deprograming will take a long time. They have no one on their leadership bench. Another one of Trump’s candidates lost in a big way in NJ yesterday.

Is it possible to put their blatant racism back in the tube?

I think people miss the point about the MAGAts being complicit in the con that the corrupt orange traitor is running - some for racist reasons and some for selfish financial reasons.

You can’t deprogram MAGAts, because MAGAts know exactly what they’re doing.

😑

Edit:

I forgot to include sexist reasons.

😑

People are capable of remarkable change. It’s not uncommon to meet elder people who had totally different views when they were younger.

The changes don’t always happen in the direction we might prefer, but change does happen.

With the emergence of Trump, the GOP went from covert greed, racism, and sexism to an overt expression of these characteristics. The most you can expect from the GOP is them retreating back to the covert state.

And, if Trump were to win in the Presidential election, we would then be faced with a situation very similar to the rise of Hitler in Germany. Narcissism is a deeply programmed human flaw that can be exploited by autocrats.

And yet we have:

Billionaires Who Changed Their Minds about Trump

Bill Ackman, Elon Musk and Steve Schwarzman are among several to signal that they now support Donald Trump.

Ex-Black Panther Party Leader Endorses Donald Trump

David Hilliard has said that Donald Trump is a "decent man" and a "friend to African Americans" in a video posted on TikTok.

We'll have to wait and see how much influence they have, if any.
the only rich people invested in trump are invested because it's in their own interests to grab as much money as possible before the world becomes unlivable.

It's your programming you need to worry about.

Yet it was you that didn’t want to answer where your party goes after Trump.

For MAGAts, there is no "after Trump".

Just like, for cultists, there is no "after". The things they want either happen, or else it's Kool Aid drinkin' time.

Both parties are well stocked with gravy train riders. They have plenty of reasons to hate anyone who might derail their train. And regardless of who is elected, it will eventually derail anyway.
