Update : Attempt to fly the replica delayed until 2 PM EST when the winds are expected to pickup.
Hey darlin.. the rain has let up.. I was able to hear the Pres. speech on local radio... The flyovers for the day are starting and the Stealth went by earlier.. I wish the weather were better.. but there is a break in the rain for now.. Wish you could be here..:D

Good thing she was not piloting the first flight or we would still be just watching the birds fly after a 100 years!

Unfortunately today's flight did not get into the air. The replica has flown in tests apparently, but not yet in public. I hope they try again.

I was reading the other day, that the Wrights wanted to fly on the 15th orginally, but the weather didn't cooperate. Sunday the 16th was good weather, but they'd promised their Bishop father they would not fly on Sundays. So Monday the 17th, the flew.

Sweet T: Imagine what your grandchildren will see flying over for the bi-centennial of flight.
I can't imagine.. It may be "out of this world... Just waiting for the fireworks to start... at 5:30... Great day all around...
