One feminist says forcing women to register for the Draft is UN-feminist

But then she also says forcing men to register is un-feminist, too.

This is what feminism is SUPPOSED to be like.

Forcing girls to register for the draft can’t be feminist because the concept of a military draft itself is not feminist. Our military industrial complex is not feminist, so feeding it unwilling youth of any gender is not feminist.

We know from history that if the draft were ever reactivated it would disproportionately effect the poor and people of color. Any system that preys upon the oppressed (especially at the bidding of the most privileged) cannot be feminist.

As a feminist, I do not support girls being required to register for the draft. As a feminist, I do not support boys having to register for the draft. As a feminist, I do not support the imperialism our military perpetrates.
