Remember all the screeching, screaming, stomping of feet, wall-to-wall 24/7 Faux Noise coverage, and demands for resignations when Virginia Democrat Governor Ralph Northam apologized for doing a skit in college wearing blackface?
"NOT GOOD ENOUGH! NO EXCUSES! THROW HIM OUT! BETTER YET, BURN HIM AT THE STAKE!" was the ongoing battle cry from the right for weeks.
But now that one of the GOP darlings, good ol' girl and proper Southern Belle Alabama Governor Kay Ivy, has been outed for the exact same thing, what are we hearing from the right?
"Oh, that was a long time ago. She was just a college kid. It was just a youthful indiscretion. And anyway, she apologized so it's all okie-dokie now and ya' all need to drop it."
When it comes to the GOP of today, hypocrisy isn't a bug...it's a feature.
