Lea hated to wait. It made her so... nervous. Her fingers wrapped into the hem of her blouse as she twirled it, staring at the clock. Why'd she get here so early?

Her friend Mikio had set her up with this interview. She really owed him for that... She had been so paranoid she'd be unemployed for awhile when she moved. He had said she'd be perfect for the job, that he'd give her a great recommendation- but she had just gotten her degree. There was no way she had enough experience... The worst part was, she had never even heard of this company. Still, if Mikio said he could get her in...

"Ahem."

Lea's eyes shot up, seeing the secretary staring at her from the desk she stood behind, tapping a pen against her clipboard. "Miss Williams? I can bring you in now." She guestured for her to follow, bringing her down the halls and to a large black door. She opened it, guesturing for Lea to step inside. "Wait until he calls for you before going further into the room. It should not be long." With that, she left, leaving Lea to stand fidgeting by the door.

OOC: Weeeellll, looks like I'm back for a bit.

On the outside the building was rather bland. A casual onlooker wouldnt pay it much attention. No flashy signs, no outstanding colors...just plain tan against a dark brown trim. The windows are mirror tinted and a plaque rests on the single brown door. It reads "Red Rum Blood Bank."

Upon entering the building it would appear to be your typical blood bank. Nurses and staff abound, as well as customers. A small waiting room and a single hallway with two doors on each side. All procedure rooms, with one oddly colored black door at the end of this short hallway.

Once past the boring exterior you are greeting by dark crimson corridors, large lavish black doors and hallway decor of all sorts. There are two sorts of people you will encounter in these halls. Men in business suits and women in much, much less.

The owner of this company, which is legal as far as the government is concerned, is one Mr. Lucious. Not much is known about the man except by those in his inner circle. Even then, his origins are certainly...cloudy.

He had sent out some of his people to gather up some "new blood" as it were and just as he finished some rather trivial business there was a knock at his door. Two taps, a space, and one final tap. He smirked and wiped of his mouth with a hankerchief he kept on himself.

After tucking it back in and setting his empty wineglass down he moved from behind the large black desk and strode across his rather gothic office. He walked upon plush red carpet. The walls were black with minute red lines running up and down. In the middle of his office was a black coffee table with a bottle of what appeared to be wine and a few glasses. There were couches on either side, large black leather. Crimson on black curtains hid the two windows to either side of his desk. Upon the desk sat a rather slim laptop, and yes..it too was black. Papers were neatly piled, and other ornaments lay precisely about.

Lucious moved past the table and chairs, finally opening the door and smiling ever wider. Mikio had brought him one fine catch indeed. The boy's debt was certainly repaid. When she offered her hand for a shake, he took it gently, turned it over and kissed her pale flesh before she took it back.

"Delicious...and your name is?"

OOC: Sorry hun, I had a change of heart...ha ha, "heart." Perfect.

((I knew I could get you back. ;) ))

Lea's face reddened as the man took her hand, drawing it back hastily once he kissed it. "L-Lea," She stammered out, trying to calm her sudden fluster. Something about him seemed... strange. Still, that wasn't any way to be thinking about her prosepective employer. Everyone had their quirks. He just seemed to have a few... odd ones. Even with his strange appearance, something about him made her heart beat faster. Nerves? Possibly... But she had never felt like this in an interview before.

Her eyes moved from him to the room, only making that thought even stronger. She noted the smirk on his face as she stepped into the room, returning it with her own sheepish smile before fumbling for a copy of her resume from her bag. "It's an honor to meet with you, sir. Mikio said that I was a perfect candidate for your positions... I hope that you feel that way, too." She started to hand him a paper, looking around the room once more. She paused as she felt him staring at her, giving a nervous laugh. "Ah- sorry. Its just- your office. Its very.. unique." Unique? More like scary as hell.... She gave another smile. "If I might ask, sir, what exactly is the position you have available right now?"

He motioned for her to sit on one of the couches, while he walked around his desk, setting the resume atop it on his way by. Taking hold of his wine glass and coming out from behind the desk, he took a seat opposite her, one leg over the other as he poured himself a very thick crimson wine. He smiled across the table to her. She was nervouse, the blood running through her veins seemed to flow faster, her heartbeat rising steadily. His eyes narrowed as he traced her figure and undressed her in his mind.

"Ah yes, the 'positions'...well..."

He took a sip from his glass and leaned back in the couch, looking up at the ceiling.

"There are many positions waiting to be filled, but the one that you are here for is very important."

"Yes, it is quite important actually. You've seen the blood bank outside?"

She nodded and he grinned, taking another sip and waving the glass about as he spoke.

"Our 'public' face operated well within the confines of the law mind you. However that is just a front for the underbelly that is my devious little enterprise."

Her eyes widened, another quickening of her heartbeat. Again, he smirked.

"I, like many of my associates Mrs. Williams, am not among the living...nor am I dead. I belong to the night host, a vampire to put it plainly..."

In the very instant he spoke those words he was next to her, his arm wrapped about her neck and his hand resting nicely upon her thigh.

"This is the part where I bite you..."

Lea gave him a bewildered look at his comments, wondering if this was some kind of joke... He wouldn't seriously be telling her his business wasn't real?! "S-sir?"
The glass sat in her hand, resting numbly on her thigh.. Still, as he continued to speak, she attempted to register it all in... Undead? Vampire? Wait, what-? What the hell had Mikio gotten her into?!

She barely had recognized the words as she felt his arm about her, giving a surprised shriek and trying to shove him away- but he was already on top of her, his mouth latched onto her neck as he brushed her red hair from his path. A cry came from her as his teeth broke her flesh, her fingers still clenched tightly to his jacket as she tried to fight back. "Stop-! Wh- what're you-" she trailed off slowly from her protests, instead only giving a weak moan as she felt her body growing cold.

A few hours later...

He finished up some rather tedious paperwork and looked up upon hearing something stirring. Looking over his desk he saw that Mrs. Williams had finally awoken. He clothes were gone, replaced with tight fitting black leather pants, a zipper in the front and back, a nicely fitting corset to show off her assets all the better. A pair of leather boots and long black gloves going to her elbow finished off the ensemble.

"Your other clothes were...dirtied. I'm afriad. You'll find those fit nicely...I've got an entire room filled with things for you."

He had moved across the room quickly, as if his feet never touched the floor. Soon enough he was standing over her with that same smirk on his face.

"It's night now, you slept for a few hours. You will probably need to feed soon, if you dont already feel weak...you soon will."

He removed his jacket and tossed it on the couch, rolling up one sleeve and taking a seat next to her.

"Speaking of which...how are you feeling?"

He noticed she was still taking in everything earlier, maybe now she had gathered herself enough to continue.

Lea's eyes adjusted as he spoke, still dazed by what had happened. She ran her hand across her chest, noticing it wasn't her cotton shirt anymore- looking up at him with confused eyes. He was still smiling at her. He had just bitten her, and he was smiling?!
She wanted to get up, get out of there... but... she couldn't.

"You... planned all this?," She asked softly as he spoke of the clothing.
What a stupid question.

She closed her eyes again as he continued, trying to block his words. No, she wasn't going to do anything like that... She couldn't. Her eyes opened again as she felt him set on the couch next to her, frowning. "How.. do I feel? Sick. Absolutely ill... " She paused as she saw his sleeve, looking up at him. "What- what're you doing..?"

He looked from her eyes to his arm and back to her. His hand moved up to her hair as his fingers slipped through her strands and moved back to his side again.

"You're going to bite me, right here on my arm."

He held it up to her and nodded as if to tell her it was going to be okay.

"It's either this or you die. You really dont have much of a cho--"

He stopped and stood quickly looking to the window. With a bit of a sigh he pushed the girl down as red lasers pierced the windows, scanning the room just moments before the windows gave way to bullets soaring into the small office. He was hit dozens of times and flew backwards hitting the wall hard as his blood spattered everywhere. There were holes all along the walls, but luckily none of them hit her. They aimed for him.

Soon after Lucious was down men dressed it black swat type outfits jumped through the windows and moved across the office in a type of military sweep. They stood over the girl huddled up on the couch and upon seeing she was bitten trained their guns on her.

"He must have been feeding when we nailed his ass."

The men looked back, the body was still there laying limp against the wall.

"We'd better finish this one off before she turns..."

"But-," she whimpered, trying to fight against his insisting push.
Lea shrieked as gunfire suddenly filled the room, ducking down at the edge of the couch. She looked up as he fell against the wall, now even more confused than ever. "S-sir?," she choked out, staring at him as she touched her cheek, another suprirsed cry coming from her as she found his blood coating her face. They KILLED him?!

Why did she care? With everything that he had done...

Still, he seemed the lesser of two evils at the moment. The men before her had guns aimed at her head, intending to kill her as well. He had wanted her to live... or at least claimed to. "Stay away from me...," She growled, moving further against the couch. "I don't know who you are- but stay away from me..."
Her eyes fell back to the blood on her hands, drifting over to him as she lifted her fingers to her mouth. He had told her it was safe... that she needed to... She ignored the men as they barked at her to stop, closing her eyes as she hoped he was telling her the truth.

((If you like Hellsing, you're going to like this next part.))

Just as her tongue was about to touch the blood on her hands and the men were about to squeeze their triggers, a faint chuckle was heard. It echoed through the small room as if they were in a huge stadium. The chuckle turned into an evil cackle as the lights flickered on and off before eventually dying out.

She couldnt see what was happening but she could hear the shrieks of the men. Their voices carried from one part of the room to another as if being dragged or pulled around. The sound of flesh being torn and bones cracking gave way to the silence soon enough as the lights came back on to see Lucious standing infront of her, his body covered in blood, as were the walls, the floor, the ceiling...it was everywhere. Body parts littered the ground, stuck to the walls.

He held up his hand, cracking his knuckles as he sighed again, muttering to himself.

"When will these fools ever learn?..."

Lucious turned to face her, the girl was almost covered in the crimson liquid. a smile crept to his face as he wiped off his arm and held it out to her.

"Feed now...questions later."

"Uh-"

Lea stared at him a moment, her stomach turned at the state both he and the room were in. She could only imagine what she looked like- ugh, no, that wasn't a good image... Her eyes instead locked onto his offered arm, drawing her attention away from the thoughts.

She hesitantly slid forward on the couch, still looking at him as he nodded, encouraging her. She placed her mouth against his arm, surprised to find it now warm.. His touch had felt so cold before... her teeth broke the skin, surprisingly easier than she thought it would be. The soft warmth spilled into her mouth, her mind disgusted at what she did- but at the same time, she wanted more. She clutched onto him, closing her eyes as she continued.

((BtW, where do you keep finding your pics??? I've been meaning to ask you that since like the first RP we did together.))

It was several days later, she had been sleeping...resting this entire time. The sun had finally gone down, giving way to the moon and the stars. Lucious stood out on the balcony of his small chateau on the outskirts of town. It was high up in the mountains, giving him a great view of the city. Up here he could spot prey and predator easily...all from this stone balcony.

He looked back to see a small white coffin, one he had made especially for her. A white rose was etched into it's top with a phrase circling it to form an oval shape. "I lie among the petals, shedding life to live forever." Around it was a plush persian style rug with many intricate designs.

He sighed, waiting for her to awaken.

((Here and there really, sorry about being away...cable went dead for a few days...heh...))

Her eyes were open... but she couldn't see anything. She felt so... confined.

Lea's hands scraped along the wood above her, giving a panicked cry as she shoved it away. She sat up from the box, gasping as she looked down. Care had been taken in the box... the coffin... but still, it frightened her. The inside was velvet lined, a deep crimson red and pillow. Any other time she would have found the fabric beautiful- but now, it just scared her.

She shivered, looking over to see Lucious standing out on the balcony. She hesitantly worked her way from the coffin, eyeing the rug beneath her feet as she went over to him. "It's... beautiful out there..," She said softly, looking out at the city's lights. She glanced at him, giving a frown. "I'm not sure if I should thank you for saving my life... or hate you for what you've done to me." Her eyes locked onto the gloves on her hands, turning them as she stared at them. "Those people- who were they?"

He just smiled and walked away, motioning for her to follow him. She did so and they passed her coffin in the small room, moving out into the dimly lit halls. Her door was large, wooden, and ancient...as if it belonged back in the dark ages. It creaked loudly as it closed behind them.

He made his way down a few flights of marble stairs until he was in a lobby of sorts. There were a few other people scattered about, moving from here to there or just sitting and conversing. He leaned against the stone rail of the staircase and looked up to her as she walked down.

"Those men with the guns were of no concern...for now. These are my brothers and sisters. This is my coven...my family, which you are now a part of."

He raised a brow and smirked.

"I'm curious...of all the things that have gone on, that was the first question that came to mind?"

Lea looked about the room in surprise, amazed to see the people there... Her head shot back to him as he spoke, giving a weak smile. "They had a gun against my head and didn't seem to care what they did with it. You may have attacked me as well... but you seemed to have at least some concern afterwards."

She stepped down from the stairway, still taking in the room. "Don't think that's the only question I have about all this.. Believe me, there are thousands more inside my head- It's just hard to find the words for each of them." She paused. "Your... family. You did the same to all these people as well? And... why me? Was I just... Lucky.. enough to come to you?" Another pause, this time, her eyes widening as she thought of something. "Mikio- he's the one who sent me to see you. He- he had something to do with all this?!"

Lucious gave a weak smile as he strode across the grand lobby, twin staircases on either side. Some of the people around, other vampires of course, moved away when he walked. It was quite obvious he was the leader here...or at least someone fairly high up. It showed in his actions as well. He moved about like a king, standing tall and looking down on all those around him...however he had a gentleness that seemed to pour out of him as he talked.

He stopped at another door, taking a moment and then turning to her, his hands behind his back.

" One. No, not all of them. Some come from those I did bite. They are linked to me just the same though. "

The door opened and he stepped through, still facing her. As he moved away she stepped in and looked around. It was a large library filled with thousands of books. There was a clearing in the middle, with two sofas and three leather chairs. Everything seemed to be in a maroon hue with light tan undertones. It was a very homey feel, cozy even.

" Two. Yes and no. It was Mikio I had told to bring you to me yes, but no you arent lucky...'chosen' would be a better word. More on that later however."

Lucious walked along the bookshelves, searching for something. He motioned for her to take a seat as he continued. Finally he pulled an older book from the shelf and brought it down. He set it down on the small table infront of her spot on the sofa.

" Interview with the Vampire. Anne Rice. One of my favorite books. "

He turned away from her and then laughed a bit to himself.

" ...but she got me all wrong."

Lea followed him, still leery of the others in the room. Why did she fear them? She was now one of them, thanks to Lucious... But she was having a hard time grasping that at the moment. "An... extended family...," She mumbled, following him into the study.

A faint frown passed her lips as he gave the quick answer to her question on Mikio. Chosen... Well, didn't that make her feel special. She sat down on the couch, thinking that over for a moment as more questions filled her head. Before she could inquire about the more in depth answer, he tossed the book onto the table. Her eyes widened at his comment, looking up at him. "You mean to tell me she- she wrote that about you..?" She picked it up, looking it over hesitantly. "I thought it was all just.. fiction."

He chuckled to himself yet again and sat opposite her in one of the chairs, crossing one leg over the other as he explained.

"As she wrote it, it was fiction...mostly. I met Anne ages ago and we became close. What I told her of my life was littered about in that book of hers. It seemed after we parted ways that she became obsessed with me and my kind, writing an entire series of books about us."

He leaned back, closing his eyes and reliving the past in his mind.

" There are many changes in that book that contrast what really happened. For example, Lucious became Lestat. I assume it sounded better, or perhaps she was protecting me. Who knows, I surely dont. She died before I had a chance to ask her. "

He then stood and circled the small clearing.

" I showed you that book for one reason and one reason only. To make you realize that in the world we live in, fiction overlaps reality. It's a point I'm sure you're quite familiar with now. I just wanted to drive it home. "

He leaned in behind her, resting his hands on her shoulders.

" The reality is that you are a vampire. My job now is to teach you right from wrong, reality from fiction. "

Lucious leaned even closer, his lips grazing her ear as he let out a faint whisper.

" It's time to begin... "

Lea stared at the book as he spoke, still attempting to make sense of it all. There was nothing left to try and think. Nothing made sense. Nothing she could figure out on her own... It was as he said. Reality and fiction were together anymore. Trying to figure out where they crossed was a worthless task.

Her back slipped further into the couch as his lips pressed against her ear, the barely audible words tickling her skin as he breathed them into her ear. "Begin?," She asked, trying to shake the shiver he had sent down her spine.

She stood, giving a groan as she went over to him, running her fingers against the base of her neck. She felt.. odd. "And just what is it you want me to begin with?," she asked softly, looking at him.

"To teach you the vampire life of course."

He stepped away and moved across the bookshelves once again, seeking another book perhaps. His eyes scanned the many book spines, going up and down the shelves, a hand outstretched...his finger tracing his path.

"Have you ever heard the story of Lilith?...ah ha!"

He pulled out a very large book and tossed it over her head. It hit the table with a huge thud. In the very moment her eye lids blinked in suprise, he was standing opposite her on the other side of the table. Lucious had moved from the bookshelf some dozen or so feet away to right infront of her in but a second, not even.

"She was mother to us all, or so the legend is told."

He pointed to the book before them. It was a very old bible, written in latin.

"Adam's first wife, left him because she didnt want to be the lesser being. She thought of herself as his equal. Upon leaving the Garden of Eden, she mated with the devil and gave birth to the first vamp--- ."

He was cut short as the door flew open and a thin man with long ravened hair ran in. The man had deep pale skin and dark cobalt orbs. His outfit consisted entirely of black leather, straps here and there along with a pair of large black boots.

"Master...he's here."

Lucious' eyes seemed to light up at the news.

"Excellent. Come with me Lea."

The two of them followed the man out into the lobby to see two other vampires also dressed in mostly black leather holding onto what looked to be a human dressed in a business suit with a simple red tie. He was a younger man with neat blonde hair.

"Mr. Eurich...poor poor silly man. You were told to keep out of my affairs, but your little 'swat' team comes bursting into my office anyway. I give you a sizeable allowance every month to keep the government out of my business...and yet this. This is how you repay me. Well...consider our contract void."

He then turns to Lea and whispers ever so faintly into her ear.

"...kill him."

Lea had followed him out into the lobby much like an obedient puppy, staying only steps behind him as she hid behind his shoulder, staring at the man Lucious' men confined. So he had been in charge of that whole incident earlier...

Lucious' words in her ear surprised her, giving her that terrible feeling in her stomach once again. Yet the longer she stared at the man, the more her anger grew- as well as that odd sensation in her throat. His men had wanted to kill her on a random guess that Lucious had attacked her... and he hadn't at that time.

"Yes sir." Her voice was rather flat, unlike the fear she had used so far to speak with him. She slowly worked her way over to the man, still staring at him, her fists clenching up as she neared him. She had never felt like this before. Not only anger... but.. something more. her hand flew up from her side, snatching at his throat as the two held him.

"My men... were there to save you," he gasped out.

"Your men were there to murder me." her fingers tightened, though a soft whimper came from her. She could feel his pulse. She could actually feel his blood pass beneath her fingers, even through those gloves. "There would have been marks on me... they're very noticable..." That feeling- of it flowing- it made her breathing heavy. She couldn't handle it anymore. She glanced between the two men, who only smiled.

Her hand moved up, grabbing his chin and yanking it aside, her own mouth latching onto his neck as Lucious' had claimed hers days ago. Her teeth pierced through his flesh, groaning as the warmth filled her mouth once more. It tasted different than Lucious'.... sweet. She enjoyed it, letting it spill from her lips as she tried to take all she could.

Weeks had gone by since that night she tore through that poor government man. There wasnt much left of him when Lea finally stopped. In the past weeks Lucious took her out to the city, to the rooftops, to the clubs. He taught her about their culture, their ways, their powers, their weaknesses.

"We can survive only at night, sunlight is extremely hazardous. Vampires are highly allergic to garlic and silver. Our own blood cannot sustain us, hence why we need to drink from others."

He talked about their past, those who make up his coven, the different vampire clans, the humans who hunt them, the other monsters that populate their world.

"Our powers differ from vampire to vampire, mostly with age as a main factor. The older vampires such as myself are considerably stronger, faster, and able to achieve much more. A new vampire's normal senses are heightened at least three times what they were as a human, they can move short distances at amazing speed, and one is as strong as twenty humans."

Lucious watched over her as she trained with the others, toning her abilities and mastering her new powers. He even took her out to hunt with him, a priviledge seldom offered to anyone else. The city was alive just like any other night. It seemed that even more people came out when the sun went down. Who knew what else lurked in the darkness besides them.

He brought her to his favorite rooftop. It overlooked an old cathedral in the downtown area. He took a seat on the building's ledge and motioned for her to do the same. People went too and fro below them, cars honked at each other and the faint hum of the neon lights could be heard.

"I'll never be able to enter that church, only stare at it's beauty. Because of Lilith's betrayal...all of her children are barred from Holy Ground and even blessed holy water can harm or even kill us. Crosses can slow us down, but their power is not enough to stop stronger vampires."

He reached into his jacket and pulled out a plastic pouch filled with blood. He inserted a straw into it and began to sip. He almost laughed and spilled his drink when he saw the look she was giving him.

"I would imagine this would look awkward. My coven owns and operates several blood banks in this city. I would never need to hunt again if I wanted. In truth, I tire of the task. However if those close to me found out I stopped hunting, they would seek to overthrow me because it is a sign of weakness. Thus the inner struggle is maintained outwardly and I hunt again and again."

He handed her the pouch and turned back to gaze at the church.

"I need you to do something for me...a task that only I trust you to complete."

He scratched at the back of his head as he said it and smiled, his eyes lowering to the streets below.

"There is another among my family...he seeks power and is becoming a real threat. I want you to seduce and eventually kill him. His name is Drake, you met him briefly in the library. The one with the long hair and all the buckles. I cannot kill him myself. If the coven learned of it they would consider it a betrayel and have me killed as well. Do you think you're up to it Lea?"

Lea sat along the roof's edge, her hand draped over the top of a gargoyle as she looked at him, almost petting it as she listened. She had never really been a night person before all this, and had never really seen how beautiful the moon made the city seem. She gave a soft giggle as he drank from his pouch- a rather odd sight. "You remind me of my nephew and his juice boxes." She paused, a slight frown. Well, the old Lea's nephew...

She snapped back to the moment as he handed the pouch to her, taking it and sipping from it as well. It did seem a bit more comforting to her to have it in this manner.... but she also could see how the others would be upset by it. Taking down that man had been an incredible rush, and had made her feel such power.

"Drake..." She gave a slight nod, remembering him. He had seemed rather short on his words with Lucious... She stood back up, going to him and nodding once more. "I won't let him threaten you, Lucious."

"Good, dont let me down."

That said, he pushed himself off of the ledge and into the streets below. With all of the hustle and bustle of the big city no one even took notice of him. These people were too worried about their own problems to notice the goings of the world around them. Lea landed behind him and the two stalked their prey until sun up. Lucious took her back to the chateau and kissed her forehead softly before laying her down in the coffin.

"Sleep well my angel of the night."

He then went out of the small room and up the stone staircase to the upper-most floor of which only his bedroom was on. He pushed open the large wooden doors and made his way to his coffin, large and black set in the middle of the large room. A persian style rug also lay below his coffin, a skull and rose pattern with demons and angels decorating it. Candles, dimly lit, lay scattered about.

Lucious pushed open his coffin, his soft skin squeeking against the slick polished surface. There was a single phrase etched into it's top, with a symbol above it. The symbol looked like a sort of eye and the phrase read as...

"The Bird of Hermes is my name, eating my wings to make me tame."

Lea awoke earlier than usual, her fingers sliding the lid open before sitting up. She stayed in that position for a few minutes, hugging her knees as she stared out towards the balcony. The sun was just finishing its decent. It was almost the vampire's dawn...

With a gentle sigh, she stepped out of the coffin, replacing the cover before starting from her room. On her way out, she tucked her gloves into her belt, as well as a thin leather strap that she picked up from the small table by her door. A small vase sat atop it, a single deep red rose inside. She had thought that Lucious was cruel and heartless when he first took her... but with what he had given her, what he had told her... he did have at least something inside him.

She continued down the hallways, moving with the same gentle silent stride that had frightened her those weeks before as Lucious had done it. Arriving at the main hall, giving a soft smile to a few others she met in the lobby.

She sat down on one of the couches, pulling her gloves on with gentle tugs, wriggling her fingers through the leather and smiling again. Her eyes drifted up to watch the staircase, waiting for Drake. She reminded hereslf that she would need to speak with Lucious about a small favor.. that is, as long as her plans for this evening worked as she hoped.

(((.....aaaand this is where Drake would come in. Anyone interested in him? PM me! :) ))
