On-Offboard Etiquette

As much as I don''t wish to make this post I will in the hopes it will save someone else the frustration I've experienced of recent. This concerns manners refering to offboard chats and onboard PM courtesy when you have made someone's aquaintence in either the Lit BBS or through an IM software. As politely as I may put this, please don't lead someone on by getting into a intimate conversation one day and then the next not even so much as answering a PM or IM with a 'busy, talk later' message or a very lame explanation of being busted by a spouse and then showing up regularly at the Lit BBS afterwards. Can't we be mature enough to simply say it's been fun but have other people to meet or simply say I'd prefer not to play any further ? All you are doing is wasting someone's time and getting PMs and IMs you'd rather not receive by not having the integrity to be honest in the first place. I'm not naming any names as those persons know whom they are and most likely other BBS members have dealt with them as well......To sellect few of you who have kept such confidences with me when your schedules allow, you are much appreciated and considered friends above all other concerns. And to those persons who want to pose as fair weather friends, your insincerity is unwarranted and unwelcome. If I've ruffled a few feather so be it, just speaking my piece and venting a bit of steam while attempting to remain a gentleman.....

Oh my!

Fallen my friend

It seems someone has upset you, try not to take it too personally.

It is after all a BB, and not everyone is honest and as they truly are!

I guess I come under the heading of "fair weather friend" as we rarely chat, but then I still consider you a friend, as I am.

Sadly things like this happen often, even in real life!

Hugs fallen, I will try to keep your 6 safe!

Good Weather

I consider Your Grace a good weather friend as I feel the sun on my skin and the wind in my hair when humbled in your presence....

I think the wind may come from your wings, the sun may be the warmth of my fiery breath, and my tail curling around you is your anchor.

Tis good to see my angel again, even when he is being a bit of an imp!

Fallen,

Although the newbie here, what you have described occurs frequently in all forms of on-line communications, even to the On-line game I am a staff member of.

I feel for you, but my best advice was given by Dragonette allready, don't let it get you down.

Indeed, very true

Welcome, and good advice.

I think we have all been the victims at one time, but sadly it still happens, people like to play games and don't care about the consequences.

Even in real life.

Which on line game? Do tell.

Wolf? Hmmmmmmm, I do like a wolf!
