My friend M, whom I have mentioned a couple of times, is expecting her second baby. She's due in May. So, I'm surfing the net, trying to find a gift, something unusual, something she won't find in our local stores. While going through the clothes section at Amazo.com (Did you know they had one? It was a total surprise for me!), I found some very funny things. Like this item, for instance.

It's a diaper-cover. In denim.

At first I thought this was a Star Trek-uniform for babies, but when I read the description, it said it was a New Orleans Saints baby-overall.

That doesn't make any sense either.

See, here's the difference between Americans and Swedes. If we're going to some kind of party that requires you to wear a tuxedo - we don't bring the baby!!!

We get a baby-sitter, or one of the parents stay home with the kid.
An item like this would NEVER be necessary.

I'm sure it doesn't make sense to most people, Flicka. The New Orleans Saints exist solely to provide a 'home team' to the SuperDome during the times it is not in use for conventions, The Sugar Bowl, and every once in a while, The Super Bowl for which it got named.

Why anyone would want to admit they are an actual fan of that team is beyond me.

Now if it were a Chicago Cubs overall, THAT would make sense. Why on earth would anyone want to dress a baby in anything else?

Personally, I was a sucker for the cars, trains and planes themes. Marimeko separated me from a lot of my dollars

I'm kind od fond of Anne Geddes line of baby clothes. I think she's the closest to the truth of all the designers. Those creatures look like weird mushrooms, so let's dress them like it!
