Time to dust off those on-line dating stories, authors, especially the romances. From here:
...a study funded by the Santa Monica-based firm offers scientific evidence that husbands and wives who met online are more satisfied with their marriages than couples that met the old-fashioned way.

In a nationally representative survey of 19,131 people, researchers found slightly less marital contentment and slightly higher separation rates among people who met their spouse at work, on a blind date, in a bar or at a club. Even the happiest couples brought together offline — people who met their husbands and wives while growing up, during school, at social gatherings or at places of worship — reported marital satisfaction levels a little short of those who met their mate through an online dating site.
Well, darn it! I guess I'm gonna get my husband to chat with me on-line a few times so we can up our satisfaction quota.

I thought arranged marriages from afar was the old style. :D

But old style arranged marriages were arranged by someone else. At least these people are picking. Whether they're actually getting what's advertised is the question.

What do you really need to know about a person?

Criminal history. Work history. Credit scores. Sex appeal. Net worth. Education. Military history. Health. Addictions? Moral philosophy. Fun to be around?

I'm surprised no one has created a Dun & Bradstreet for potential partners.

You old romantic, you!

What gets me is this, many of the girls I hoisted my nose at in high school blossomed into hot ladies down the road. And a few of them cheerleaders I was crazy for didn't exactly blossom, they kinda swelled up.

I posted this in the What Makes a Popular Loving Wives story thread a few days ago.

Wow, my wife and I must be well above average in intelligence.

We've been doing this for over a decade, even role playing by text.

Hell I've even started craigs list personal ads and had her answer them (some of the other responses I got were interesting as well;))

And we figured out that would be fun without the internet telling us so!

What's next? An article that tells us our SO likes it when we kiss them?

The problem with most couples is the problem with most people in general these days. They have to wait until the internet tells them to do something before its okay to do it.

I love lemmings. They make life easier on the rest of us.
