If I were to write this, I would start with a premise similar to the story ‘Melting Away, Slowly...’ series by PostScripter. The kids are gone, and the wife dictates events to the husband. In the story that I mentioned, the wife is not able to change.

In the updated story, the wife, fearing that she is about to lose her husband, try’s to become submissive to her husband, and turns control of the marriage over to her husband. He brings in a financial adviser, and insists that she sign up for exercise and dance classes, and signs them up for a cruise which she would never go on. Without the stress of household finances, and changes the husband makes, she starts to enjoy her life more.

When he insists on oral sex on the cruise (both ways), she finds out what she has been missing out on, and becomes willing to try anything that the husband suggests. Once again, since she is not able to object, any prudish guilt is gone, she is free to just feel pleasure.

I would probably want to tell this from the wives point of view. Does this sound like what you would want to read?

That's a great question and motivation is what makes or breaks a story.

I think she was always sub and she and her husband just started their family before they could really develop that element of the relationship. Now the stress and 'distraction' of kids are gone and she realizes she belongs to him, she's his to control.

Now, he was more dom but because they had kids, maybe daughters, he's backed off to teach his girls how men should treat them respectfully. Mom wants to go back to the way it was and she has to ease Dad back into the old roles they used to play.

He's Dom, she's Sub, but she helps him rediscover that Dom role within him.

I agree. I don't see the "hook" to this story at all. If there is one it seems pretty lame. A couple's kids leave home and then they turn to Domination/submission. Big deal. Why not turn to it after some other chronological event - death of the family cat? Second Sunday in Lent? Cousin's wife's toenail operation? I mean: what's the point?

Were the kids somehow holding them back?

As I said before, a real hook (at least, for me) would be having the wife seduced and "Mastered" by another guy without hubby knowing.
