'The horse is really out of the barn': Norm Eisen reveals how Trump lost big against Manhattan DA

On CNN Monday, former House impeachment counsel Norm Eisen broke down the significance of the Supreme Court turning away former President Donald Trump's final suit to prevent the Manhattan District Attorney from obtaining his tax returns — a decision met with rage by the former president.

Trump is 'petrified of drowning' in criminal tax probes: biographer

Former President Donald Trump lost his bid in the United States Supreme Court this week to shield his tax records from the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, and biographer Tim O'Brien says that the former president is freaking out about what happens next.

Appearing on CNN, O'Brien explained how giving Manhattan DA Cy Vance access to Trump's taxes is going to put the president in severe legal jeopardy.

"They're going to get all of these records that Trump has kept tightly guarded for so long and they're going to bring those back to the Manhattan District Attorney's office, where he has financial forensic investigators he's brought in," O'Brien said. "And not just the tax returns, by the way. they're going to get the work product from the accountants themselves, communications between Trump or... the Trump Organization about... how to possibly manipulate some of the entries in the tax returns."

Tax records: check

Deutsche Bank and Trump's personal bankers cooperating with investigators: Check.

Cy Vance and his team primed and ready to go: Check mate.

Supreme Court ends Trump’s bid to shield his tax returns

Donald Trump's response -

This investigation is a continuation of the greatest political Witch Hunt in the history
of our Country

...two ridiculous "Crazy Nancy" inspired impeachment attempts where I was found
NOT GUILTY.

The Supreme Court never should have let this "fishing expedition" happen, but they did.

...something which has never happened to a President before -it is all Democrat inspired
in a totally Democrat location, New York City and State, completely controlled
and dominated by a heavily reported enemy of mine, Governor Andrew Cuomo.

These are attacks by Democrats willing to do anything to stop the almost 75 million
people (the most votes, by far, ever gotten by a sitting president) who voted for me

The new phenomenon of "headhunting" prosecutors and AGs—who try to take down
their political opponents using the law as a weapon—is a threat to the very foundation
of our liberty.

That's what is done in third world countries.

Even worse are those who run for prosecutorial or attorney general offices in far-left states
and jurisdictions pledging to take out a political opponent. That's fascism, not justice—
and that is exactly what they are trying to do with respect to me, except that the people
of our Country won't stand for it.

(waahhh, Unfair! Persecution.)

I will fight on, just as I have, for the last five years (even before I was successfully elected)
despite all of the election crimes that were committed against me. We will win!

Georgia Counties To Trump: PAY UP, A-HOLE.

Hey Donald Trump! DeKalb and Cobb counties -- you know, Georgia, that place where all the trouble's comin' from -- want their damn money back. Their attorneys' fees, specifically.

The pair of Atlanta-area counties filed motions this week in Trump v. Raffensperger, the Georgia suit Trump and the GOP filed to try to overturn the results in Georgia because "v0tEr fRaUd!"

As Cobb County puts it,

The Trump campaign and other parties filed dozens and dozens of lawsuits challenging the Presidential Election results around the country, including at least seven cases challenging Georgia's election results or its recount process. In virtually every case the claims were found to be procedurally deficient, factually unsupported, or both.

Cobb County also reminds us that it wasn't exactly out of some newfound ethics that Trump finally pulled the suit, but seemingly just for PR, after his attempted insurrection failed.

Despite failing over and over, it was not until January 7, 2021 — one day after the shocking and disgraceful attack on our United States Capitol — that the Petitioners acted to dismiss their spurious and unfounded election contest.

Like Georgia GOP Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said when they finally dropped the lawsuit, "Rather than presenting their evidence and witnesses to a court and to cross-examination under oath, the Trump campaign wisely decided the smartest course was to dismiss their frivolous cases."

Losing Georgia was particularly painful for Trump, who didn't just file suit there, but also tried to coerce Raffensperger into pulling a common Richard Daley and just fixing the election for him, because "c'mon, I thought we were pals!" Or, to use Trump's exact words, "All I want to do is this. I just want to find 11,780 votes, which is one more than we have. Because we won the state." (Fulton County DA Fani Willis is now pursuing a criminal investigation into Trump's Georgia ratfucking. So attorney's fees aren't exactly his only problem in the Peach State.)

Joe Biden won Cobb County with 56.35 percent of the vote and DeKalb County with 83.12 percent of the vote. But Trump just couldn't believe how much everybody hates him, so he filed this bogus suit, which to quote Dekalb County, "repeats unsubstantiated and frivolous claims of violations of state laws and regulations related to voter registration, absentee ballot processing, signature matching, and improper limits on the public and election monitors during the tabulation of votes and the recount."

Internet blasts Trump's CPAC speech as 'laying the framework for more violence' around election lies

Speaking for over an hour, Ol' Tweetless hit all of his high (Low) lights.

President Donald Trump's speech to CPAC surprised audiences as he called for an end to "cancel culture" and then listed off GOP Senators and House members that he wanted to cancel.
Trump also demanded that there be restrictions on voting so that fewer Americans are able to access the polls, which would give Republicans a better shot at winning.

At the start of his speech, Trump also appeared to accidentally congratulate current President Joe Biden for his record-setting stock market numbers. He also suggested that he withheld foreign aid to countries by lying to them about needs they must meet first. Then once those demands were met, Trump said he still refused to release the money.

Proving once again he is a welsher and an asshole!:D

Vance may proceed against Trump sooner rather than later. The NYT already had some of the Trump tax files and while Vance has to base his case on the returns sought officially, I am pretty confident his people have already done much of the research on the basis of unofficially obtained information.

Showed up an Hour late and still ...

'I may decide to beat them for a third time': Trump maintains he won in 2020 and teases a 2024 run

Former President Donald Trump appeared before the CPAC event in Orlando, Florida on Sunday to tell the crowd that the GOP is unified around him and those who are not are an isolated few "establishment" Republicans in Washington.

This year, the president only gave the American flag a slight hug, whereas before he gave it a large embrace.

...full of shit!

In all the fucking around didn't Vance get Donnie's State taxes? By now he should have the banking records too. :)

Manhattan DA zeroing in on Trump Organization's chief financial officer: report

Will he roll over on Donnie & Co?

One of the Trump Organization's top executives is the focus of prosecutors in New York City investigating the former president.
Report Advertisement

"State prosecutors in Manhattan who are investigating former President Donald J. Trump and his family business are sharpening their focus on the company's long-serving chief financial officer, asking witnesses questions about his dealings at the company, according to people with knowledge of the matter. The increased focus on the executive, Allen H. Weisselberg, could step up pressure on him to cooperate with the investigation if the prosecutors unearth evidence of wrongdoing on his part. He has served as the Trump Organization's financial gatekeeper for more than two decades and could be a vital source of information for the government about the inner workings of the company," The New York Times reported Monday.

The investigation may include Weisselberg's family.

I hope he has lots of money put aside for Legal fees! :D :D :D

Ex-President Says He Ordered All The Troops To Protect Capitol, So How Is It His Fault If They Didn't

These liars are tryin' it. They summoned a mob of lunatics to the Capitol with abject lies about a stolen election, whipped them into a frenzy as the president himself promised to accompany them in their march on Congress, and then watched with glee as the crowd attacked the seat of government in an effort to overturn the presidential election. And now they're blaming Congress itself for failing to take adequate defensive measures, like an arsonist who scoffs that the building would never have burned down if only it had sprinklers.

Check out this asshole claiming that he told the Defense Department that they'd need 10,000 National Guard troops to keep order at his January 6 "lovefest" of hundreds of thousands of people being exhorted to "trial by combat" and to "fight like hell."

...
Was there a "direct order from President Trump" which was stymied by Speaker Pelosi? Tell us, Vanity Fair!

On the evening of January 5—the night before a white supremacist mob stormed Capitol Hill in a siege that would leave five dead—the acting secretary of defense, Christopher Miller, was at the White House with his chief of staff, Kash Patel. They were meeting with President Trump on "an Iran issue," Miller told me. But then the conversation switched gears. The president, Miller recalled, asked how many troops the Pentagon planned to turn out the following day. "We're like, 'We're going to provide any National Guard support that the District requests,'" Miller responded. "And [Trump] goes, 'You're going to need 10,000 people.' No, I'm not talking bullshit. He said that. And we're like, 'Maybe. But you know, someone's going to have to ask for it.'" At that point Miller remembered the president telling him, "'You do what you need to do. You do what you need to do.' He said, 'You're going to need 10,000.' That's what he said. Swear to God."

So less than 12 hours before the rally, the president mentioned offhandedly to the secretary of Defense that he knew the event was going to get hairy, giving a general recommendation that Miller "do what you need to do." Which is ... not exactly a direct order or even a request. And indeed Miller himself never interpreted it as such, telling VF reporter Adam Ciralsky, "The president's sometimes hyperbolic, as you've noticed. There were gonna be a million people in the street, I think was his expectation ... So I think that was what was driving the president." And yet, somehow, it's Nancy Pelosi's fault that the (acting) secretary of Defense either blew off a direct order or ... there wasn't one.

:D :D :D

Head of the FBI testified today that there is zero evidence any left-wing group or individuals participated in the January 6th insurrection. Time to put out ALL that evidence you claim to have Republicans.

Only Fascist traitors support a Fascist traitor

Trump hit with new subpoenas as Manhattan DA's office ramps up probe of Seven Springs estate: WSJ

Former President Donald Trump is facing new scrutiny from investigators over his efforts to develop the Seven Springs estate in Westchester County, New York.
Report Advertisement

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that the Manhattan District Attorney's Office has been issuing new subpoenas and requests for recordings of local government meetings related to Trump's failed efforts to develop luxury housing at the Seven Springs property, which he first purchased for $7.5 million back in 1995.

"Prosecutors in recent weeks have sent subpoenas to land-use lawyer Charles Martabano and engineer Ralph Mastromonaco, both of whom were involved in planning the Trump Organization's proposal for Seven Springs," reports the Journal. "The district attorney's office also requested recordings of planning-board meetings in Bedford, N.Y., one of three towns on which the Seven Springs estate sits."

The probe into Seven Springs is part of a broader investigation into Trump's finances, as attorneys working for Manhattan DA Cy Vance have told courts they they are probing whether Trump committed tax fraud by lying about the value of his properties.

Of course he lied, that is what Donnie does!:)

Trump Might Be More F*cked In Georgia Than We Knew

Rachel Maddow did that history thing she does last night, and taught us a lot about a story that came out a couple days ago about the criminal investigation into Donald Trump's attempted election stealing in Georgia, stemming from his "I WOULD LIKE YOU TO DO US A FAVOR THOUGH, PLEASE FIND 11,780 VOTES" phone call with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, as well as other related election-stealing attempts. It sounds like that investigation, led by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, might have just gotten a lot more serious for Donald Trump, because of the word "racketeering."

First we'll tell you the big news, then we'll briefly tell you the backstory Maddow told about the big news, so you can see why it is big news. Then we'll tell you to just go watch your Rachel, because we aren't trying to write an epistle here.

The big news is that Willis has added to her team a guy who is world famous for being The Expert on state racketeering cases, which seems to suggest any upcoming Georgia indictment of Trump might be quite a bit more serious than we knew:

20 years in the big house for Donnie the Tweetless! :D :D :D :D :D

Dear old Donald has enough civil and criminal litigation in track and brewing to entertain him--and us--for the rest of Donald Junior's life (and so does Donald Jr.). Lots of retribution to scumbags there.

But will he ever personally appear in court and take the stand under oath?

Or will it be years of motions?

But will he ever personally appear in court and take the stand under oath?

Or will it be years of motions?

Depends on whether he can find any lawyers to work for him ,his history of stiffing them will work against him .

Tick Tock, Tick Tock for the Giant Orange Schlock!!!

Manhattan prosecutors could bring criminal charges against the Trump Organization and CFO Allen Weisselberg as soon as next week

Business Insider on MSN.com|39 minutes ago

The news comes as prosecutors are nearing the final stages of a two-year investigation into Trump and his sprawling real-estate business.

For four years, Trump insisted he wouldn't release his tax returns because they were under audit by the IRS.

Haven't they finished that audit yet?

What would be more interesting than anything else would be if they found some ties to the Russian Mafiya.
