All is not lost, Karen. (Good to see you again, BTW )
You re-edit the story and resubmit it the Laurel with a note telling her this is an edited version of XXXXXX story and Laurel will replace the origianal version with the new one.

And if all else fails, write the stories in another application that has spell check and then copy them over to Lit.
