i'm just wondering ('cause i have that kinda time) what people's sleeping habits are. what do you sleep with? SO? pet? stuffed animals? what do you wear? that kinda thing.

personally, being single, i sleep with my dachshund. strictly plutonic, of course. i wear yer generic shorts/t-shirt combo.

one interesting quirk... i can't sleep unless the tv is on and it has to be on something that i WOULD watch if i WAS awake. and i have to have two pillows... one under my head and the other clutched to my chest (i'm such a baby).

I sleep with MrB. Used to sleep in the buff, but when the kids came along, I switched to jammies.

Like you, I cannot go to sleep in the complete quiet. I either have the TV on really low or the CD player. Drives MrB nuts--that's why God invented headphones.

On any given night I can be found buried under 4 or 5 blankets, and on top of one too. One pillow for my head and one for my arm. Music is a must, last night was disturbed, I think I'll go eminem tonite... Sometimes our weird cat jumps up and starts doing that marching in place thing cats do, on my ass. no good, I usually scare him off when I wake up flipping out. but if he's there when I pass out, he usualy doesn't wake me up. anyway, jamas or sweats as it gets cold here. brr..

Your wording of your cat's behavior simply cracked me up. Mine does it too, but I don't mind so much My cat generally sleeps on the windowsill above my head.

I sleep nekkid, with Mr. Lynxie. If it's really cold, sometimes I'll wear a t-shirt or sweatpants.

I need blankets on me at all times...this time of year, I have a sheet, a blanket and a thick, fluffy comforter covering me. In the summer, usually just a sheet...comforter if it's chilly at night. The sheet and blanket must be tucked in at the foot of the bed...If my feet or legs come uncovered during the night, I get neurotic.

I have a teddy bear that I've had since I was born - he's in really rough shape, but he generally sits nearish the bed (he's not a necessity...but I like him nonetheless).

I used to always have to fall asleep on my stomach - but since the shoulder went bad, I'm limited to laying on my back or on my right side.

Mr. Lynxie prefers to have a fan on in the room, or some sort of white noise...I don't mind if it's quiet though. Either way is fine by me. Oddly enough, however, I'm the lighter sleeper in our relationship.

I used to sleep on my stomach, but chiro convinced me to sleep on my side.
Usually have one foot out to regulate temperature.

I sleep nude usually on my stomach though it changes sometimes. If my son is here I sleep with my spiderman boxers he got me for fathers day. In the winter I have a nice fluffy down comforter. my sleeping habits~ I like to sleep in a t-shirt, socks and two soft blankets covering me up. In the winter time I use flannel sheets. In the summer time I sleep naked with just cotton sheets. I have two king size pillows, one I use to lay my head upon and the other I place next to me so that my back is touching it. The TV is always on in the living room and along with the bathroom light. (I do this to help drown out the sound if someone is trying to break in-weird and pointless) My favorite way to lay is on my right side in a fetal position facing the door to my room with the covers drawn up to my chin.

My sleeping habits have been varying from time to time.

When I was younger, I always stayed up all night watching those late-night horror films they always put on in the middle of the night.

Now, I'm older, and since I'm now in college and working, my sleep schedule has gotten back to normal, but otherwise I won't be able to sleep at night.

Usually, I prefer listening to music when I go to bed, and I also prefer sleeping with my pill folded in half to make it more firm to lay my head on. Normally I sleep on my side, but lately I have been able to sleep on my back with no problems.

As for what I wear. Mostly I sleep in what I had on before I go to bed, but if it's a pair of pants I'd like to keep clean, I'll end up sleeping in my boxers and the shirt from earlier since I have plenty to wear.

I used to have a big black cat constantly jumping on my bed and climbing up to my chest and just lay there and I won't notice any heavy feeling until the next morning. Half the time, the damn cat would slap me awake. I'll admit, I loved it when the cat did that. I guess it the cat let me know I was appreciated and liked.

So, pretty much my sleeping habits now are just crashing whenever I feel tired.

Preferably- nude on my 400 thread count black fitted sheet covered bed, with a quilt or two if its not too cold. One (or more) of those fuzzy mink blankets if its colder, like lately.
And no loose sheets- for some reason I hate having a sheet between me and my blankets. Not sure why, it just irritates me.
Does make a nice window cover though- all the other available drapes here let in too much light, a bad thing for a night shifter like me.

And generaly there's two kitties which compliment my 2-4 pillows.

Add in the occasional squishy yellow duck or reindeer doll if I need something to prop my wrist up on and life's nifty.

Right now I'm sleeping on a couch with no sheets, just blankets, so nekkie is out of the question. Waking up freezing or sticking to the faux leather finish is NO fun, though I may resort to it if summer gets really hot--funny aside: we have neither central heating nor air conditioning here, so we're extremely susceptible (sp?) to the weather. I have a stuffed penguin I like to have lying near me somewhere, sometimes clutched to me. I generally like holding something while I sleep, whether it be a stuffed animal, a pillow, or some bunched-up blankets. I usually have some kind of background noise--TV or radio in the past, laptop these days--and something so it's not completely dark. The laptop serves that function these days, and in the past there were lights on just outside my room, either at home or in the dorm.

I sleep nude post-coital (well, slept--there isn't much coitus these days), but I rarely do it at any other time because I've either been at home or with a roommate, and I don't think either party would appreciate seeing me in the buff. I did like it when I did it, so when I have my own, LEGAL place *fingers crossed* next year, maybe I'll get into the habit. Garb now is silky pajamas, warm cottony pajamas, underwear, or whatever clothes I wore the day before, depending on room warmth and my laziness.

I miss having my kitties near me when I sleep.

I need the dark, and little to no noise. Naked since I toss and turn all night anything I wear winds up twisted and wrapped around me, during cold weather I use lots of blankets( like six), during warm weather just a sheet.

I am single but get a weekend bed partner sometimes. I'm in a tank and undies or half nude depending on what has just happened or what I want to happen. I have to have a feather pillow and my feet need to be uncovered and hanging off the bed.

oo and snoring puts me to sleep with in 5 minutes of hearing it!

and lastly.....my two cats. if the boy is on the bed...he's snuggled next to me.....but if it's the girl...she's usually on my back as i'm sleeping on my stomach....never the two together....since they HATE each other.....

i also have to have my foot outside of the covers....but the rest of me with the blankets pulled up almost over my head......

well, i fall asleep at my bf's house. normally just undies and a bra. MUST have the fan on (it drowns out the tv). i get one pillow when i'm there. then i go home and sleep. again, must have the fan. but then i get 2 pillows AND a body pillow. must MUST be covered (comforter is preferable)

Ooo I like this question...Peoples sleeping habits are so interesting. Personally, I sleep in panties and a tank top, on my 400 count egyptian cotton sheets, with the comforter that was on my first twin bed when I was 3, my quilt, fleece blanket, and another feather throw over my feet cause they get cold. I generally sleep alone, well if by alone you mean without another human, I do generally have a cat by my head and another around my feet, and a stuffed bunny I've had for 20 years tucked somewhere in bed all nice and cozy. I can't fall asleep unless my fan and humidifier is on and it's absolutly dark....

NEKKED!!

All you SO's with a partner like me will nod, and all you people like me will probably snicker, but that's the fun of telling all of this, right? i have to have MY pillow (trained to 'attack' Hubby when he comes to bed - it's a feather pillow, and the shafts of the feathers poke out everywhere except where i lay my head).

i always start out in the exact center of our king-sized bed. In summer i have my baby blanket. Mom made it for me. It's just big enough to cover the top of a twin bed. In winter i start out with MY electric blanket. Anybody who dares touch it is in danger of losing body parts. When Hubby comes to bed He brings along two big fluffy comforters and His thin little blanket.

i get scooted over.

Within about a half hour of His coming to bed, He ends up with His thin little blanket. i'm loosely cocooned in two big fluffy comforters and an electric blanket, all nice and nekked, ignoring His rather loud snoring.

Not to mention kicking Him in the shins, knees, wherever else a foot happens to reach.

Can't forget the flailing arms, either. i tend to do more than just roll over - it's an all-out flop-and-roll thing. He actually had to drive Himself to the emergency room one night because i broke His nose while rolling over in my sleep. He didn't want to have to get the kids up to take them along, so i got to stay in the nice warm blankets.

I sleep naked. With my one pillow under my head, either a pillow or my stuffed bear wrapped in my arms, and either a pillow or part of the blanket between my knees/legs - so I'm either sleeping on my right or left side. Yeah I like a lot of pillows and to be hugging a lot of things.

I sleep nude. Any other way feels restrictive. I sometimes wear a T shirt when friends are over. I sleep with my SO underneath a dovet and a blanket as i get cold very easily. I have a stuffed toy called popple who has also shared a bed with me since I was a kid. I can't sleep properly without either one of them!

I love music whilst I sleep, or some programme on the radio. Phone in's are good, too.

I used to have to do number rituals, like count to a hundred three times before i could sleep, but I'm mostly over that now

Valerian tea tastes yucky but guarentees a good nights sleep.

If I'm sleeping alone I wear a t-shirt and panties, one pillow, right now since it's cold I sleep under a sheet, a down blanket and my down comforter I have a stuffed animal or two on the other side of the bed but I don't actually cuddle them or anything, they're just kinda there. The room has to be dark for me to fall asleep, and I usually can't sleep if there's a lot of noise going on. Usually one of my cats sleeps on the foot of the bed although occasionally both of them do.

When I'm at my fb's house I sleep neekid a lot of the time I end up laying in a way that I don't even use the pillow although sometimes I get one. 1-2 blankets. Cuddler . Occasionally cats but usually they get locked out.

i have a sort of follow up question too. for those of you with pets in your bed... have you ever had sex (of any kind) with them around? i don't mean this in a kinky way, but i know my dachshund wouldn't leave the bed when my G/F was around (back when we were together, of course) and we'd do our thing with him in another corner. i guess that sounds kinda sick but he never really moved from his spot... he was just a lump we watched out for.

anyway... do the pets stay, go, are they forced out or what?
