Ok, NOW you get to say it's PC gone mad!

Sounds more like an urban dictionary word than an official scrabble dictionary word.

Actually one of the online Scrabble games already did that. When words I’d long played suddenly were rejected, I started looking up words that could be offensive and they’d been purged. Fortunately that game gave you a choice of dictionaries so I was able to opt into a more comprehensive word list. Others assigning a motive to my playing ANY word is the height of arrogance. Stop telling me what I think and why I do things. Fact is, if I had a choice between playing NAGGER or an offensive word in its place, I would choose not to offend. But if LEZ is going to score me over 60 points, I’m playing it. My regular opponents and I agreed up front that we would not take personal offense against each other for words we played in a game.

I’m sure someone out there is thinking “your racist view is informed by your white privilege.” No, I’m a grown up and realize that this is a game and I would not use these words in speech or writing outside of the game.

As long as I can spell: Dolf, Sexy, Elegant, Graceful, Beautiful, etc., I'm happy.

The Scrabble rules state that the players decide what dictionary to use, and that the dictionary only gets used when a play is challenged.

So nothing is banned unless the players decide to do so.
