I have a Nikon Digital Cam that's fucked up. It works perfectly and has a 2 gig memory chip in it. However, everytime I take picture number 3 the damn thing goes crazy and erases everything.

So, like a good person, I loaded everything back in the box and took it to the camera store to be repaired. That's what a normal person would do, right?

So, I've been calling them to two months. It finally came back today fixed. So, I drove across town and picked it up. All's fine and good, until I got home. They lost the damned USB cable.

So, I packed it up again and drove across town to the camera store. They can't find it. So, they had to order a new one. Could they do anything else to piss me off?

Yep! Bastards tried to charge me and the camera isn't fixed. So...Back across town again. Turns out, the only thing that was wrong was the memory card was shot. So, $36.00 later, I'm back home and my camera works, but I can't get the damn pictures off the sucker : pissed-off :

Technology can be extremely frustrating. And with so many options for consumers it's amazing stores don't bend over backward to help them.

I bought a guitar amp for my son. Got home and there was $50 off coupon in the mail. Back to the store. The manager wouldn't honor it, said I could buy something else and use it. I had just bought the thing! It wasn't like I was coming back a week later! I sent a nice email to corporate HQ saying I had lots of friends with kids into music and couldn't understand the policy blah, blah, blah. I got a phone call from the manager the next day saying he thought it over and decided to honor the coupon.

Having said that, I try to support local mom-and-pop businesses when I can.
