Ok...now favorite wine?

97 Portoguise Rioja, Red.
You never go wrong with that one.

White Zin

Yep. Behringers (sp?) is tasty stuff.

Much To Sergieepoos Dimay, I'm Sure...LOL

I Have Never Been Much Of A Wine Fan.
I Lived With A Big Shot Wine Guy:) My Mama's BF...Hi Poo~Waves~& He Was Forever Making Me Taste Them. They Were Not Geared To My Buds Or Something, He Was Always So Upset When The Outcome Was Yet Again, Negative:)

I Did However Have A Huge Bottle Of Matteus Rose Handed To Me One Night At A Bonfire. Tasty Shit, That Is.

Beer! Now There Is My Taste Bud's Desire:):):)

bratcat, you Daw----, you wonderkind...

I first tasted a 94 (or 5) Shiraz 999 Wyndham Estates (sp?) in 1997, and yum! My first plunge into wine wuz a red 4 dollar Almaden, I blacked out and cussed my new girlfriend out from the shitter (Get Outta' Here! Can't you see I'm trying to take a Dump?) The following morning I puked for dayz...

I'm just trying to build a mood here...

I didn't go back to red wine for years...

Till I started boostin'...

5 dollar wine started finding its way up the price ladder, and when that stopped, A margarita bartender beauty told me about shiraz, (Which I'm wunderin' iz a Shirah grape, but grown down under?)

The killer red I've been hearing about for us non-millionaires iz Napa Valley Cabernet Savinough '97

p.s. On the delete...I didn't read it the first OR second time, thus bad sp's except for where I don't want to take the time to back track to find out...Mmmmmmm, red wines

First and formost...I like a good Pinot Noir...we live in an area filled with wineries...so a local wine comes to mind...Henry Estates. But I also like Carbenet Sauvignon...and Columbia Crest make a pretty good and inexpensive one (get the "reserve").
After that almost any dry red wine will do....I don't go in for the sweet stuff much...
There is an annual event here called "Greatest of the Grape". 20 wineries bring there best wines and we taste and vote on them. Last year the people choice was an Early Muscat (white, sweet, and this one had a hint of sparkle) that was fabulous!

OKAY!! So I'm a Big Fat Liar!!

My Favorite wine iz Thunderbird, with their half of it watered down...now I get two thirdz of the Bottle...Ah-Hahahahahahahaha!!!

Wanna' shwig of the spider?

Thanks Guru, Oregon is now added to my itinerary- a good Pinot Noir is worth a detour.

Favorite wine? I dunno...maybe something from Bartles and James...

Whatever you're serving honey.

Can you believe that I actually have a bottle of Thunderbird and a bottle of Night Train in my wine cabinet as we speak? Hahahaha......

I like Berenger's white zinfandel, as well. Not much of a drinker, but that or Coors light is my alcohol of choice. Does anyone besides me remember Boone's Farm Strawberry Hill-the first time I ever got drunk, that is what did it.

I have a thing for Sauvignon Blanc's.

Two VERY GOOD and relatively inexpensive ones are Santa Carolina SB (Chilean, 96 to 99) and Two Oceans SB (96, 98)

Course ya gotta like Chianti Ruffino too... Tasty tasty tasty.

agreed

Very dry red wine. Prefer a Cab Sav or Chianti Classico. I do not like white wine much and hate sweet wine. Sweet wine makes me think of kool-aid with a punch.

our tastes are alike.

a couple of opinions, take 'em or leave 'em, and thanx to all who posted theirs, i've got some shopping to do.

for italian reds -- if you like chianti's try valpolecello's or any wines from veneta (sp? its a region) in general, especially amarone's.

for yank reds -- i have fallen in love with wines from Oakville, CA -- especially Franscian vineyard, both the Cab, and their blends. also a nice and relatively cheap pinot -- Ramsey (the '98's are drinkable, but its a wine that actually needs to breath believe it or not !!!)

for dry S. Blanc (fume blanc) fans i love the Hogue's 99 or 98 here, and its about 5.99 to boot, can't beat it.

we could go in france, but i should get back to work, lol
