Ever listen to somebody talk about how cool this band they used like used to be, until they got all, like, famous and then all these less cool people started to like them, and then they, like, started to suck? And thought, oh shut up you whiney bastard? *YAWN*

I don't see anything wrong with it, it's a natural expression about how they are feeling. Also.. I don't happen to view it as a whine or even necessarily an insult to others who haven't been around as long, who probably haven't had others float in and out of their lives here or elsewhere online.
