ok - I'm new. How does this work ?

Welcome!

Here are some things that I posted in another thread. Some may sound harsh, but they're honest, at least:

  • We DO have a sense of humor over here, but it is often sarcastic. If you can't appreciate sarcasm, you probably won't enjoy your time here.
  • Not everyone here will tell you what you want to hear. The GB isn't as lovey-dovey as the Playground.
  • If you can't take a joke that is poking fun at you, consider yourself forewarned. The Exit is on your left.
  • If your Sig is longer than this entire post, you will likely be ridiculed for it.
  • If you can't type a complete and coherent sentence, you will likely be ridiculed for it. That's not to say that we don't all make typos, because we do. Some of us are even bad spellers. However, as in real life, it is important to be able to communicate your thoughts.
  • If you can't handle being ridiculed, you will likely be ridiculed for it. Again, the Exit is to your left.
  • If you don't like threads about politics, or if having your brand of politics bashed is not for you, then the GB is not for you.
  • We have trolls here. They are pathetic. They are often cruel. They do not represent us. But they are here.
  • We have fluffy posters and serious posters. The vast majority of us are both, often at the same time. Understand that you are dealing with real people with real lives.
  • Do not be afraid of Spelling Buddy and Grammar Buddy. They are your friends, trying to do a service to the public.
  • Speaking of Grammar Buddy, your shows possession. It is the opposite of my. You're is a contraction for you are. Please put it in your notes.

Welcome to Lit, may all your wishes come true!

Starblayde gave some good advice.

Howdy!...........

Just pick a topic, say what you think, or make up your own thread topic! Put on a large pair of wading boots, there's a high level of bullshit here! :D

Thank you all for your kind support

Re: Welcome!

this welcome rule should be added:

  • follow Ruby around as much as possible...she's pretty and funny.

Crame, another good rule of thumb is the worship of all that is Ruby. It's a responsibility of every good Litizen to pay homage to the goddess at least twice daily. The standards will work, sacrifice, genuflection and prayers to her beautiful self, but it's also nice to be creative now and then.

Welcome. =)

(morning Miz Ruby! May I offer you a cup of sacrificial coffee this fine day?)

do i have to figure out myself who is "available" ? :D

I used to have a Couples of Lit thread in which I attempted to keep track, but it got WAYYY too confusing, and some people would say that they were in a relationship with someone and then the other person would ask me to remove the names, and couples begin and end daily, so I gave up trying to maintain it.

A good rule of thumb is to assume everyone is available until they snap your privates with a mouse trap.

:D

Yes Crame, Nora gives good advice. Send money too.

Morning Nora and Lexie. :) I'd love a cup of coffee, Nora. Can you believe that I've already had a pot and the sun isn't even up yet?

Thanks a lot Nora.

I don't worship anybody since I'm a freelancer. No strings.

But i don't mind to bow down and lick err... say hello to nice Ladies every now and then.

I was kinda wondering why the hell you were up so damned early, my goddess.

Now, the groovy coffee maker at work has several selections: Columbiano Supremo, "Our Blend", Nantucket Blend, French Roast, Hazelnut and Rainforest Nut. Personally, I do a mix of Columbiano Supremo and the Nantucket Blend in the mornings and Rainforest Nut in the afternooon.

Would you like creamer? Sugar? Can I fetch you a danish from the café? I haven't done my morning self-flagellation in your honor, but I have it scheduled during my 10:15 break, if that's ok with you?
