Actually that last sentence is the quitescence of the cutter's attitude, at least of the several dozen or so that I've known. I think Brine is just a little more honest and open than most would be in a similar situation. Putting someone down for being honest, especailly about something like this (and i don't care who they are or what your opinion or even what a thousand other peoples' opinion is of them) really sux hot ass, IMHO. This is the fourth time I've seen this inane comment in this very short thread. Does anybody here understand the psyc. of cutting well enough to know why, while enjoyable, the above usually does not satisfy the basic itch/need? Rhetorical question, I'm sure there are lots of people who do, they just havn't posted in this thread so far.

So many people, and POPULAR people at that, hate her that you can say almost any cold and callous remark to her that you want and, unlike if you tried this sort of shit with someone more appreciated by the in clique, you can feel safe in your cowardly little heats that nobody will shit on you for being such asses.

But now somebody is, you little babies! Everybody else who posts about cutting in this forum gets tons of support and advice. (Marquis, shy, and a couple others, I'm not directing my comments at you--I think you were trying to be helpful, at least)...except her? Why don't the rest of you jerkoffs go suck some popular clique member's floppy parts on the GB and leave this thread to those of us who know what to do with it?

No, even if I weren't pissy today, I couldn't stomach this. I really despise bullying, Catalina, especially the sort of mindless sheeplike "let's all do what the leaderz do" scapegoating. This woman's first post was a nice positive message to GB, the usually sick vultures who live their lives online and only know they exist when they wound somebody pounced all over the trivial aspects of the message, she stood up for heself, aforementioned vultures got the majority to follow in their footsteps and shit on her simple because she dared defend heself in her own unique (and, to my eyes, very interesting, way), and the rest is history. Oh yeah, not to mention the chiks deadly jealous of her curves getting their digs in too about her terrible pictures, about something as superficial as some tape on the body, too, lolz! I hear you...it is something which occurs too often. In part I think it is the medium in which we are operating....ie. online and anonymous for many; sometimes I notice it occurs here after there has been a troll operating either as themselves or a poster using another username devised simply to stir shit they are not brave enough to do under their usual persona....seems to create a little distrust; often there is distrust of those who wander over from the GB simply because it has been a form of play for some to come here and stir when they are bored...and often go back and report their exploits and imagined successes; sometimes it seems to be a testing ground to see if the poster is real or coming here to get their jollies; sometimes it is just a misunderstanding of what was said; ....ah seems, we are a sensitive bunch, even those who roar the loudest and wield the biggest sticks...ummmm, canes, whips, and all things yummy.

I had a similar reaction to oddity83's post, partly because I don't know them to know how to interpret it...but then thought for those of us into cutting, beating etc., it might have been a suggestion made with the best of intentions.

It has more to do with her post count than anything else. She's maintained over 100 posts a day since she has started posting. That's the reason I would think she gets the attention. I'm not here to defend or crucify. But it is possible that Brinnie is not one person, but a group of teenage boys sharing a password. I don't understand the point of Brinnie being here. I don't know what he/she/they get out of this little experiment, but I will at least get humor out of it.

I'd be more concerned over the fact she says she enjoys taking extasy in her profile but that's neither here nor there.

Still, cutting oneself is a serious issue- one that should really get some help from a real therapist or doctor. There must be some serious prior trauma or something that makes her feel like she has to cut/beat/curn herself.
So on that note, hope Brinnie gets some help or whatever it is she's looking for.

I think it was the speech and the fonts for some reason that ticked off the gb peeps. Although you know, whenever somebody writes a a very lavish positive message there praising the board or the people on it in general terms they get this vicious, extremely childish, out-of-proportion attack in response. Any psychologically minded people care to explain that one? As for Brinnie, for no reason I can even begin to understand, a great many people on gb also took umbrage to the tape on her nipples. Maybe they were just disappointed they couldn't see the pinker parts?
