I submitted a 27k word piece to a publisher and, whilst they liekd the writing, said the story wasn;t happy enough for them.

Now I've looked again, but I can;t find any other e-publishers who take works of such an in-betweeny length.

So here's the thing - do you know of a publisher who will consider a gritty erotic not-quite-romance of 27k words?
