What's some of your favorite songs? A country song that you can never get tired of. For me it's anything with Lila McCann's name on it. Anything by Garth is also a winner. Other than "American Honky Tonk Bar Assoc. I HATE that song.

Disclaimer:In NO WAY is this a rip off of Swedish Chef's thread, so don't turn me in.LOL

Theres some Canadian singers I like.

Stephanie Beaumont: way over my heart
Dianne Chase: Taking back my heart

my favourite country song is dwight yoakum's since i started drinking again.........and i sure have a special spot for travis tritt's a great day to be alive..............also the one in my sig line......lonestar....and sheesh on and on and on lol

Colin Raye's: Not that Different
Anything by Kenny Rogers
David Lee Murphy's: Dust on the Bottle
Mark Chesnutt's: Bubba Shot the Jukebox (for when I need a good ole laugh)
Most of Garth and Reba ain't so bad either, and I sooo agree about the American Honky Tonk Bar Association, can't stand it.

hummm

Thunder rolls - garth brooks I am sure that is not the title but it is the tune

Anything by allison krause
or
anything by brooks and dunn

Oh yeah.

My current favorite CD is Keith Urban. I really like a lot of the old stuff, 70's Oak Ridge Boys, Conway, and Don Williams.

My latest driving CD is Kickin the Asphalt. I'm finally enjoying it again. My favorite songs on it are Girls Like Fast Cars too, Racing is a Girls Best Friend and A Few Good Men.

Kris Kristofferson

Lovin Her Was Easier Than Anything I'll Do Again..K Kristofferson

Cross My Heart George Strait

Any Kenny Rogers

Honey, I'm Home Shania

Your right, that's the name of the song. I LOVE it, too. I LOVE the live version on the "Double Live" CD. One of the best on that CD is, "Friends in Low Places." EVERYTIME I hear that talk with his audience I LAUGH MY ASS OFF!!!!!!!!!

i like lots of artists

a very few of my favs are
Keith Whitley with Don't Close Your Eyes
Don Williams (any of his songs)
Julian Austin with Take The Money and Run
Merle (any of them)
and the list could go on and on and on

I love the old C & W the best. Merle Haggard, Hank Sr & all the people I grew up listening to with my Grandpa & my Dad. I think I know all the words to most of the C & W songs from the 50's & 60's. My favorite is still Patsy Cline, she gives me the chills when I listen to her.

teresafannin

i too enjoy a lot of the old c&w music. i also enjoy a great number of the newer country music artists and bands.

like the song says..."who's gonna fill their shoes"

Hard to pick some songs, though Garth, Brooks and Dunn, Shania all top my lists...Kenny Chesney, Alan Jackson, i love his new song, "Back Where I Come From"...ok it's late i'm rambling....

I love the old C& W and alot of the new ones.
Jason McCoy is great but you can't go wrong with Tim McGraw and his wife or George Strait

Tim's wifeis Faith Hil. Yeah, can't go wrong with either of them

Anything by Johnny Cash, expecially A Boy named Sue, and Vibrator Queen but David Alen Coe. :)

there's a song out right now called "Austin", not sure who it's by, but it talks about a love that I wish I could find...

ps...if this is Austin, I still love you!

There are so many

god there are so many great country songs out there.

Some of my favs are:
Toby Kirth- you shouldn't kiss me like that
Mark Chestnut- I don't want to miss a thing
and of coarse Travis Tritt- A great day to be alive

I like the older C & W myself.Once in a while there is a new band that will have a song I like.But all n all I perfer the older song's.

Hank Williams-"Honky Tonkin'"

Hank Snow-"I've been Everywhere"

Merle Haggard-"Mama Tried"

Johnny Cash-"Man in Black"

Willie Nelson-"Milk Cow Blues"

In my CD collection,I have country music from the 1920's up to the latest one I bought:ALABAMA-"When it all goes South"

There is a radio station that just started on AM radio in my area, that plays nothing but old C & W.The newest music they play is from the 80's.
Ain't nothing like listening to this station, and sipping on a ice-cold beer.
