Who did you vote for if you’re in the UK?
my friend is a teacher. in Oklahoma. No school should be required to have any chapter of any political, religious or other group. Oklahoma is doing this too.
They should be sued.
Thanks. Allowing clubs is fine. Requiring them is not.It was Oklahoma, not Ohio.
The idea for a mandatory propaganda center comes from none other than America's worst state school superintendent, Ryan Walters, who is one of the few people alive who hates transgenders more than Rightguide. He hired that shrill "Libs of TikTok" harpy as a salaried advisor.
my friend is a teacher. in Oklahoma.
Yep.
Anyway, her school or district bought the trump bible schlock. Has the usual shit in there, plus all ammendments and legal mentions of slavery were removed.
She is in the process of moving back to a saner state thank goodness.

On this, we both agreeI'm sure there are parents in Oklahoma who are pleased, and probably relieved, to watch your teacher friend relocate.
if its revisionist history to eliminate any mentions of slavery having happened and the new efforts by the current regime to reshape it as being something "positive" then yeah.is the Bible really that bad?
Apparently, you have no idea what goes on in Utah.No school should be required to have any chapter of any political, religious or other group. Oklahoma is doing this too.
They should be sued.
It wouldn't make me change my statement in any wayApparently, you have no idea what goes on in Utah.

I understand that. However, it's interesting that you mention Oklahoma but are either ignoring or are ignorant of what happens in Utah per religion and schools. It wouldn't make me change my statement in any way
I mentioned Oklahoma because the thread was about turning point, and Oklahoma was under the topic.I understand that. However, it's interesting that you mention Oklahoma but are either ignoring or are ignorant of what happens in Utah per religion and schools.

Your statement. I bolded the part on religion and said this:No school should be required to have any chapter of any political, religious or other group. Oklahoma is doing this too.

And I came back with this:It wouldn't make me change my statement in any way

If you ONLY meant to mention Oklahoma in the context of Turning Point that's great. BUT I specifically highlighted the religious reference in your comment which connotes I was referring to that particular part of your post. So you either ignored what I intended (intentionally or not is another matter) or are ignorant of the reference to Utah and religion.I mentioned Oklahoma because the thread was about turning point, and Oklahoma was under the topic.
I'm not ignoring or ignorant about anything...as I've stated that no school should be required to have any group. That would include Utah, which you mentioned.
If you need to call them out or elaborate on Utah, I'm not stopping you

I honestly don't care whether you consider my position adequate enough to address your positions.Your statement. I bolded the part on religion and said this:
Which you responded to with this:
